ANN literally translates it as "re-filming", but since this of course doesn't actually involve any cameras or film, I don't think it's an animation term that would actually be used in English.

Please don't put this on TRSI, AoA. I just spent over $1000 on similar releases, and at this point I don't think I'd be able to stop myself from getting this if it was made that conveniently to me. Something like Durarara!! would be nice. I didn't get that since I didn't like it quite as much, but I'd definitely drop ~$150 on a Gurren Lagann Blu-ray collection.
