In the future where space monsters invade the Sol System, a young girl named Nono has left her home behind, to come alone to the big city. She has a grand dream of becoming a space pilot. But reality is harsh, and she spends every day instead at the diner near the spaceport where she lives and works. One day, she meets a real-life "Topless" pilot named Lal'C. Neither realize that the future of humanity rests on both of them!

This license really came out of nowhere. I'll gladly buy this, even though it'll probably be on DVD. I already own multiple versions of Gunbuster and Diebuster (along with the recent BD releases), but you better believe I'll support an actual R1 release.

Was that the 3 single volumes that Honneamise/BV released way back when?
That was the only previous release I knew about... I never got those 3 releases cos I bought the complete set of Gunbuster which was in the digipack and I thought 3 single DVDs would look odd next to it on my shelves.
So I was always holding out for a complete set of the same variety.

While this isn't quite the same, as its most likely just going to be a normal DVD keepcase, I still might grab this, cos it will be the closest thing to what I wanted and I think 1 single dvd case will still look a bit nicer then 3 cases sitting next to my Gunbuster Digipack.

Just make a quick note here on the Amazon.com goof-up. There are two listings that say Gunbuster 2 with a release date of May 21, 2013. The wrong version also lists studio as Eastern Star.
