Gamers is still completely dominated by Love Live.

As for Amazon, Maoyuu is holding onto its 50-65 range which is great.
Tamako has everything in the top 100 for the moment, though only just, and v1 topped out around #48-52 and has sat there for a while. Pretty good start.
Love Live's first volume (with discount and event ticket) is still much higher than anything else, but the later volumes are all over 200 so it's hard to say this early on what kind of drop, if any, we'll see. Obviously too early to know after one episode.
OreShura hasn't gained any traction yet. I saw some divergent estimates (some very high, some very not) for this on 2ch so I'm not sure people really know what to expect from it. But it's yet to go above #215 after being solicited for 18 days.

The first NicoLive didn't go very well either. Not a very impressive first episode reaction, but the series still has time to improve off this impression. It's one of Aniplex's big titles, so I expect sales will increase throughout the season.

With all the new anime in this season now start airing, 2ch Sales Thread is abuzz with talks of the TOP FOUR and sales prediction even though no place in Japan has seen all the new anime yet (ViviPan is not yet shown in Tokyo region, while Haganai is not yet shown in Osaka region).

And after the airing of episode 1, the general picture emerged has changed little from the pre-season prediction. The TOP FOUR are still ViviPan, Tamakoma, Haganai and Love Live. In fact I am a bit surprised to see how overwhelming those four are still picked by fans there, but what is common to all these four titles is that for their first episode they are all seen as delivering the high expectation set by pre-broadcast information.

On the other hand, OreShura is dropping out of favor fast after ep.1 as the feedback is pretty lacklustre, and now the Dark Horse candidate is now Sasami-san, which fans find it to be quite a different show from what they expected earlier, be it genre-wise or studio-wise.

As for sales, ViviPan is tipped to be 12k-18k (and quite a few even going 20k+); Tamakoma 10k-14k; Haganai 8k-12k; Love Live 7k-9k.

It would be interesting to see how the predictions and expectation move as the season progresses.

Japanese fans in anime forums are talking about how much emphasis Aniplex is placing on ViviPan at the expense of OreShura. One good example is they spent big money to place full page ad of ViviPan on national newspaper the day before the first episode is aired.

Still crossing my fingers for Maoyuu as another dark horse. At least, I am right now, because I really enjoyed episode one and see a lot of potential (but also a lot of potential pitfalls). It's shown almost five solid days of sticking to the middle portion of the top 100 since airing.

Of course this is in large part just me being sad that we have no Ookami to Koushinryou III and badly wanting Maoyuu to fill the void for me. That's quite obviously what they're going for anyway.

They sure are aiming at Wolf & Spice audience with this anime. Why else the same lead seiyuu of Wolf & Spice (Kraft's Fukuyama Jun and Holo's Koshimizu Ami) were picked as the leads in this anime? ;-)

Maoyuu's origin is quite legendary as it started its life as a pure mish-mash writing in 2ch back in 2009. It got a strong word-of-mouth popularity which caught the eyes of the publisher and so it later got published as a proper light novel. Given Wolf & Spice novel started back in 2006, it is quite possible that the author was inspired by it when he wrote Maoyuu.

Post ep.1 prediction in 2ch Sales Thread for Maoyuu is hovering at around 6k, so I guess it is also a dark horse candidate. I guess it is just that the limelight is currently on Sasami-san as what it turned out in ep.1 truly surprised (in a good way) so many people. I would say that at the moment Sasami-san is having a bit stronger momentum.

Yeah, Aniplex is really marketing ViviPan heavily compared to OreShura, but they did put the latter in their hyped adaptation timeslot that Fate/Zero, Nisemonogatari, and Sword Art Online aired in, so it's likely they think it'll do decently. Of course they're going to prioritize ViviPan though; it's a fully Aniplex production and they profit more from it than OreShura.

Looks like someone is restocking GirlPan finally. It ranked #4 in BD for the 10th. It had virtually no competition that day but it should easily rank next week, what with BDs being a Top 100 now and the week being really light.

New data for the yesterday's daily ranking from Oricon provides the coup de grace to silence all the skeptics about GirlPan being the top of the 2012 Fall season, with an overwhelming ranking as #2 of the day that is even better than the #4 position the day before. From what I read in 2ch, apparently the delivery on the 10th was from Amazon (there were some posts about receiving the delivery too) and the 11th data also have data from some stores too. Anyway, the talk is now switched to how close it will push towards 20k.

Today's Daily Ranking. Apparently the current wave of delivery on restocked BDs for GirlPan is petering out. It is now possible that we may not see it rank tomorrow. Anyway, Nobuna, Tari Tari and K seem to be quite stable. Initial-D is showing much better performance than the stalker suggested. Perhaps this title somehow leans heavily on storefront sales. It would be interesting to see how well it does for the week.
