Same here, though I can understand why they'd want to combine it. Volume 9 ends at a perfect point to want you reading more. Volume 10... just ends at a mid-way point. Imagine stopping after Koizumi tells Kyon about being an esper. That's kinda how it ends. It's really once you get the entire picture with 9/10/11 that you realize how well it was crafted. I'd almost warn anyone reading it for the first time to wait until 10/11 are out so you can better appreciate it.

Perhaps I should make that Haruhi thread since at least 10 of 11 novels are officially translated and we could move this conversation there.

Yes, though in what form? The Hachette listings state a page count of 270 pgs, more than the general 240 pgs they've used for solicitations in the past. These are also 2 USD more than in the past, ($18 for hardcover, $11 for paperback), so it's possible that they're putting both in one book instead of stretching it out. The issue with that is where the extra cover art will be.

I definitely don't want to miss an cover art. Would definitely prefer to have 10 and 11 in two volumes over combine... Ugh...
