Episode 1:

- Yeesh awkwakrd 3d-ish effect while two girls walk through the classroom.
- But oh my god, Hinata and Aoi are adorable. I lovlovelove the art. Matsuo Yuusuke also did character designs for Black Rock Shooter OVA, and it shows, even if the overall art style is different.
- Also, Asumi Kana and Iguchi Yuka! <3
- Hinata is a hyperactive and outgoing girl who still loves mountain climbing and is so happy to see her old elementary school friend Aoi. Aoi is a cheerful but not very social girl who barely even remembers Hinata and now has a fear of heights after breaking a bone as a kid.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck me. This show is absolutely exactly what I wanted.

...Except for the slight problem of the 21 minutes missing from every episode. DAMNIT SHORT SHOWS.

The subthread is going to be longer than the show. Anyway, I thought it was really cute and there was some adorable hand holding. The animation was a bit wonky at times, but some of the pan shots were rather pretty.

I'm very curious to see where this show will end up.

Episode 2:

- The tent industry supports Yama no Susume.
- Aoi and Hinata in cramped spaces together. =D Hinata is so much fun.
- Awww... I like Hinata even more now that we see a more thoughtful side of her. She knew Aoi didn't recognize her at first, and knew she'd have to give up on getting her onto a mountain, but was just so happy to see her again anyway that she just wanted to be with her, if only for a short time...
- Awwwwwwwww, holding hands = remembering the joys of being with Hinata. Aoi is making progress!

WHAT THE HELL SERIOUSLY THIS SHOW IS FUCKING AMAZING I WANT TO FIND THE PERSON WHO DECIDED IT SHOULD BE 3 MINUTES AN EPISODE AND THROTTLE THE LIFE OUT OF THEM WITH THEIR OWN GODDAMNED INTESTINES ARRRRRRRRRRRRRGH.

Seriously. Show of the season if it were full length episodes. ::raaaaaaaaaaage::

I just realized I apparently haven't posted about this show yet, even though I've watched both episodes. I thought I at least posted about the first one. Huh.

Anyway, its very, very, very cute and its the first 3 min show I really look forward to see new episodes. Damned shame its not full length.

You did post about it on Fandom Post, so that's probably what you thought of.

This series gives me Tamayura OVA vibes. Shame that it's unlikely to get more in the same vein, and that at only one cour (if it's only one cour), the runtime will only be little more than half of what the Tamayura OVA even was. Hopefully it will make great use of its little time just as that series did, though.

And I'm hoping that they realize that, like Tamayura, that this will be very popular and go for a season of full length shows.
