Looks like an upscale to me. Tons of jagged edges and Q-tec style smearing. I wouldn't even think that had 540p level of detail by looking at it.

S2 is getting a BD-Box as well. Releasing on May 8 for 19950 yen. Same as S1: all 13 episodes on 4 BD + OST + Drama CD (6 discs)
