Wow, its two cour and its cheaper than AnoNatsu or Symphogear. The per episode price is a mere 1,575, making it even cheaper than Mouretsu Pirate's 1,769 per episode.

I guess they're handling it as something partway between a Naruto/Bleach/Precure kids' show release and a typical late night release. Which I suppose is kinda what it is.

It's most likely four cour, judging by the timeslot and what it replaced. At least, I hope it's four cour considering how leisurely they're setting up the plot.

Either way, so far it's a must buy for me. Having a good price is icing on the cake.

Ah, that would explain it, as that episode count seems to be normal shows of that length. It didn't occur to me that they might not have solicited all of the volumes yet.

Actually, it does seem odd to do it that way. It seems like shows usually have volumes solicited all at once (aside from maybe the first volume or two being done earlier) or they'll slowly solicit them one by one. Soliciting half the volumes and then waiting on the rest would be unusual.... unless this is a, uh, whatever you want to call a split-cour show when each half is two cour.

Yeah, right after I posted that, I began to sort of second guess myself since I knew it was unusual not to solicit all of them at once (or bit by bit, as you said). Twenty-four episodes seems entirely wrong for the pacing of the show, though...

I guess we'll see!

Edit: Did some digging. On the official site for the announcement, it uses a tilde between volumes one through six (1~6), which indicates an incomplete list of volumes. Most likely four cour after all. No idea why they decided to go half and half on the solicitations, unless that's normal for kid shows.
