Yeah. Considering that Nazuka Kaori is more popular with voice cute (Strike Witches' Lynne or Horizon's Heidi) or sexy (Kampfer's Shizuku or Fairy Tail's Jenny) characters, Frau/Kona might be the greatest role so far in her career.

Not sure if it's been mentioned in the show, but Gunvarrel sounds the same as Ganbareru in Japanese.

Well, they have mentioned robotic making companies all show long. And, the "evil plot" has mentioned robots going berserk for several episodes. Shouldn't be that much of a surprise at this point.

Grandpa's robots were hand made, by a mechanic in whats essentially a small, rural town, something like 8-10 years ago, if I had to guess. Doubtful something like that would represent what a robotics corp could make in the shows "present" time.

The news was specifically calling them service robots. Most likely the type of thing that would be used in factories and such. Why on earth would something like that be running around the streets of a small town like what the show takes place in?

Well, putting that aside, the show does manage to confuse me the more episodes I watched.

I had assumed, up to this point, that....

1. Exoskeleton was part of the council of 300's plans, and helping to end the earth as we know it.

2. The makers of the Gunvarrel anime found out about the plans, and were trying to broadcast an episode that would explain it all to the public, when they all got murdered by the council (except for frau's mom, who went into hiding).

3. Frau's mom (or someone else we dont know) finally released what had actually been made of the show, as a warning.

This episode casts at least a little doubt on most of those speculations.

The "evil 2" in exoskeleton were actually having to research what was going on with the gunvarrel anime? And, the whole time they were talking about the council, and the "plan", they proved they were aware of it, but it almost sounded like they were onlookers, instead of someone involved with the plan. Are they evil, or not? The president, or whatever he is, certainly looks the part, heh.

Also, it appears now that the people making the anime were brainwashed into making the last episode by the council themselves (or someone else?), and frau's mom broke free of the brainwashing and sealed the episode herself.

It appears I never had any real clue what was going on, and probably still don't

They had enough opportunities to show us robots working on the island. When grandpa was in the hospital they could have had a nurse robot. We could have seen a few robots in the multiple visits to JAXA. At the school we could have seen robots moving gym equipment or something in the background.

But no. We just get Sis on tv mentioning robot accidents. That to me sounded like accidents with purely experimental robots. Not something that involved enough robots in a city to clog a four lane highway for as far as the eye could see. The end of episode 13 was the first hint we got that there is what looks like 1 robot for every 10 people in a city.

This was not a shocking surprise twist. This was pulling plot out the show's ass.

Well, it's nice to know more about Junna but...since it was a Junna episode, it should and could have been way better.

It's a pretty interesting contrast to contrast to the other roles I've been hearing right now: the Heroine in Amnesia and Hiromi in True Tears. Both of those are rather quiet, reserved roles which seems to be common for her.

I've liked the quirkiness she's shown as Frau throughout the series, but I took special note of her this episode as she showed some excellent range with the character. I had actually forgotten who Frau's VA was and paid attention to the credits this episode to see. It is so different from what Nazuka usually does that it didn't stick to my mind, I guess, but IMO just shows how good she is with this role.

Default Episode 15

A lot of weird things happening.
Even Airi was acting odd, really odd.
Seems like the solar flare thing did a number of a lot of things.
Kai surfing... now that was kinda LOL
Wow, never thought Airi was a real person!
Seems like this anime is less and less about robots..

So Airi was a terminally ill young girl who Kimijima programmed into a virtual world to let her continue to live in that way. That figures.

And that's two episodes in a row and two different girls that Kai kisses. Let's see if this becomes a regular thing.

But seriously, very sweet episode. I'm going to miss Airi a lot, but she got a very nice sendoff, and I like that Geji slips up and refers back to Kai kissing her. I wonder if Kona picked up on that. I'm sure she would've gone on about how much of a player he was if she did.

Seven episodes left. I'm thinking we're probably looking at some major plot focus from here on out.

- Nae, you punish bad boys with extensive tickling… I’m curious to know how you punish bad girls.
- A giant scale solar flare hits the Kanto region… Ok…
- Frau sure was acting strange this episode and now this happened to her…

This episode…

That was a very sweet episode. Lots of cute Airi.

Didn't fully suspect that Airi wasn't just an AI, but she was actually based off a real person. The beginning of the episode sort of made suspect that, but not fully since promotional images show her around the other characters not inside Iru-O (I always though she was drawn to be included).

The other nice thing with the episode is actually seeing Kimijima for the first time.

But, that end....

Brutal.

And, then that breezy sounding ed kicked in right afterwards, sort of spoiling the mood.
