Only eight days late~
Well at least that was better than the other absolutely fucking insane show of the season. If nothing else, Shaft and Shinbo's visuals are always a sight to behold. Plus, the scenes of Sasami trying to go outside, along with reminding me of Welcome to the NHK (not that this is remotely surprising given the focus of each on NEETs and hikikomori), hints toward some serious character drama that can be honed in on in the future. But I can't imagine there being much more than inexplicable craziness for at least a few episodes.

Uh, well. Suddenly we know everything. This episode was about 70% infodumb and now we know exactly what was going on with Sasami, her brother, and the three sisters. Certainly didn't see several of those things coming.
I had been spoiled on the arm thing shortly before the show aired, but I had forgotten about it until suddenly it burst out of her chest. .... Uh, that's still there at the end, isn't it? Huh. Well, that was an exciting conclusion. Here's hoping for season 2. .... Wait, what do you mean this is only episode 3? Anyway, I think this is probably going to be my 2nd import for the season, if I can convince myself I can afford it. On that note, I think the idea of Winter seasons being "off" seasons needs to be taken out back and shot, this season is fantastic.

Ok. So Tsurugi is Amaterasu, who's power is now in Sasami (not her brother, as was previously believed.) Kagami's a cursed portion of Tsurugi that was turned into a battle robot and Tama is more-or-less Tsurugi's daughter who will presumably one day take the power of Amaterasu back and become the true Amaterasu. ...makes perfect sense, actually.

Very interesting episode (other than the CG helicopters/tanks). My only question is, if Sasami is descended from Ame-nigishi-kuni-nigishi-amatsuhiko-hiko-ho-no-ninigi-no-Mikoto, does the imperial family know that? They might be imposters in that they also make that claim. ^^;

Maybe they both descend from her. Not like she can't leave multiple descendants, but only one was left getting her powers. Actually, the royal family is probably familiar with them since they had a small personal military there.

Oh hey, some of this actually makes some sense. Interesting. So her brother is kinda Haruhi. Or maybe... she is? Hmm... we'll see what the next episode tells us regarding this...

That sure was a weird first episode. It was an amazing one as well. I really love the art, the characters. I'm really looking forward to more of this.

Episode 2:
- Sasami really hated grammar check. - ...Oh wow, so onii-chan is Haruhi, basically. That rather changes things. And explains last episode. - MMO time. Banchou class! Nurse class! (Or, Veterinarian rather. >_>) - And a demonic patissiere. ![]() - Finally, just a plain old loser. Poor onii-chan. Then uh... well that was interesting. Sasami said onii-chan was the one with reality-altering powers before, but now they're saying it was Sasami. But she talks about it in past tense? Maybe it passed from her to him.

Episode 3:
- Sasami makes an adorable rabbit. - More Sasami report explaining what is going on. So the power was indeed passed to onii-chan but he still thinks Sasami has it. So how much of his behavior towards her is based on that? Is it all love, or a pinch of fear too? - And now we have an overarching plot too - their flight from the Tsukuyomi clan. - SUDDENLY THREE ARMS. >_> - Okay now we even get explanations for onii-chan hiding his face and his servile attitude towards (and lust for) Sasami. What the hell, this show is making too much sense now! - ...And Tsurugi is Amaterasu. - But gave her power to Tama. And Kagami is a cyborg weapon with the power of a cursed god and what the fuck. - !!!!!!!!!!! HAZUKI ERINO! What the hell I have not heard her voice in much much much too long. What was the last remotely important role, Riho in Tamayura? - Annnnnd switching things up again, Sasami really does have the power, but unconsciously granted some of it to onii-chan and suppressed it in herself. And now she has it back, and can go to school, and um... it almost feels like this is a three episode OVA that just ended. Ganbaranai Cooking! Sasami's recipes seem to be missing a few steps. I can certainly say this show is nothing like what I would have guessed.

A lot of times it feels like show like this typically have some of the explanation bogged down with techno/spirit babble, but everything really came together. Though it's like you said, it feels like a three episode ova that's come to an end.
