So those three got rescued by the fuzzy black one eyed ball.
Those monks are really bad news.. Genpachi seems to be doing just fine now. I'm glad he's finally free. His story was very interesting. Those monks just don't quit, but looks like they got what they deserved.

Time for some hardcore shota yaoi. Or at least some comic relief parodying such themes. This show definitely knows its audience anyway, and I definitely know I'm not it. Still, I'll probably be able to get a little chuckle out of it since I've accepted this. I think I prefer some of the minor comic relief a bit more than the bulk of the serious business. Some of the action is still pretty nice, though, and the premise is intriguing enough given my unfamiliarity with its source material.

Shino really is a special kid in every way.
His stubbornness can sometimes even be funny. At least this time we got some new info about other guys too. Shino meets sweet Ayane and dangerous Chikage. So Hamaji got herself a friend to play with. The lantern festival was really nice. Looks like Shino found an unexpected friend in Hibiki/Chikage.

I'd say that was one of the better episodes. I was pretty happy with it. Not sure what to think of the series overall, but it seems to be headed in a slightly better direction than I expected.

That stubborn Shino somehow always finds trouble.
The giant ape in the woods was kinda surreal. It was pretty helpful and peaceful though. Shino clinging to Sousuke was pretty LOL Investigation of the village was interesting.

- The three are saved by that black algae eyeball thingy named Megu for Murky Eyeball, Gross and Ugly.
- So Genpachi wanted to die when Nui died. But try as he might, he is immortal. - Seiran and those bugs attack again. - Those same bugs scratched Hamaji's face. Kaname is really losing it. - And it's a battle instigated by the monks. Of course, without the blessings of the abbot. - Kaname teaches Seiran a lesson to never ruin a pretty girl's face. That was a pretty decent way to wrap up this arc as Kaname really showed Seiran and those rebel monks who the boss is. Now that I have reached my quota, I have a decision to make whether to continue this show or not. So far, I haven't been that impressed, but I like it enough to consider watching more of it.

Shino just keeps becoming more and more like a real little kid. And did he really think that guy was a girl after hearing his voice? What the hell?

Asakeno certainly jumped to conclusions.
Attacking Shino and Sousuke like that. Looks like the monkey deity has been purifying the contamination. Poor moneky was just feeling lonely... No wonder it snapped when it lost the only thing is got left. Nice episode.

And everyone continues to assume that such a voice could not possibly indicate this person being male.
Poor Monkey Spirit. That was some brutal shit, though. Pretty intense at a few moments.

Traveling to the capital.
Events on the train were pretty LOL The monk and ice spirit fight was nice. It was a nice surprise Shino actually knows Yukihime. Looks like she's a really nice person/spirit. And so they've made a new friend on the train, Inuyama.
