By far, my favorite episode of the season yet (even over the Anko episode from Tamako Market). I cried.

Seeing Sasami struggle to make friends and be normal was heart-wrenching--and then to have Kagami say what she did---it was just terrible. But then Tama comes along and teaches Sasami how truly good of a friend Kagami is. And the reunion in the classroom was just touching as hell! I really hope the series explores Sasami and Kagami's friendship more in the future.

It's a little odd that only six days of high school remain, but maybe there's some sort of time reset?

This has me confused too. The placard over the classroom door's kanji is 1 year right group(?). So wouldn't that mean first year? That's just my brute force translation and I don't know if it actually means that. All the other high school shows I've watched had something like 1-2 (first year second class). So I would think that would mean she meant she only had six days in the year left of her freshman year. But then maybe that numbering scheme isn't standard. Of course if it is the end of her senior year, she's god so she could cause a reset if she wanted.

I wonder if the nuance of her complaint was lost in translation? That is, Sasami wasn't worried about her entire school life passing her by but just her first year? That, or she doesn't know school is more than one year.

I wonder how old she is anyway... Knowing that might clarify things.

Yeah, she might feel that if she doesn't make friends in her first year that she won't have any because all the cliques will have formed. I don't remember if they ever said her age. Did they even mention how long she's been a hikikomori?

The writing on the board was "終業式" which usually just means end of a school year ceremony. Graduation ceremony is usually written "卒業式"

Well, goddamn. I was expecting a serious episode, that was clear from the get-go, but I wasn't expecting KAGAMI GETS FUCKING IMPALED AND SPLATTERS HER BLOOD ALL OVER IMOUTO'S FACE, TSURUGI GETS KICKED INTO HELL, AND SASAMI GETS FORCED BACK INTO SHITTY LIFE IMPRISONMENT.

On a lighter note, Kagami really, really, really loves fluffy animals. The vet's office scene was very cute and amusing.

Episode 5:

- Funyaa~ Hey Kagami, listen to Sasami. She's serious about wanting friends. ;_;
- ...If a bit casually rude about it.
- Kagami agrees but, um, she might not be the best choice of first friend for a needs ex-hikikomori. Kagami doesn't believe in showering others with emotion, to say the least.
- Although it was interesting how she stopped herself from calling Sasami annoying and aeed to go to the cafeteria with her. Even if that didn't work out.

- Hahah, that look of confusion and disgust on Kagami's face when Sasami asks her to do trivial things.
- Going to the bathroom doesn't work out either. I think Kagami is cursed.

- Ouch. Sasami just got told off. By a very beat up and bloody Kagami. The hell happened to her?
- And then told off in an even worse way at school afterward. Maaaaaaan. Sasami's awkwardness is partly to blame, but it's really heartrending to see her trying so hard and being shut down completely.
- Fffffff, especially when she sees Kagami immediately going to hang out with other girls. I'm sure there's some stuff going on behind the scenes and Kagami is just protecting Sasami, but I feel so bad for Sasami right now. ;_;

- Tama might have been a better choice from the get-go, though it wouldn't help Sasami in school.
- Ah there we go. Basically being friends with Sasami would cause the whole jealous universe to see Kagami as its enemy. That's a pretty legit reason for trying to keep her distance while she takes out the problems.
- "You do not want to make me angry." Badass Sasami. =D
- Awwwwwwwwwwww that was totally adorable. <3

Episode 6:

- Kagami may be friends with Sasami now but she still prefers rabbits.
- So Sasami is hinting with the subtlety of a stick fo dynamite tha her mother is dead, and yet when they finally meet in the shopping district, she adjusts to her being alive rather quickly.
- And oh god her mom is adorable. That noise when Sasami shoves the ice cream at her. <3
- Sasami's spaghetti skills are questionable.

- ...And then mom gets significantly less adorable. Both in body and personality.
- Well that took a turn for the worse.
- But hell yeah Tsurugi.
- ...Or not. Kagami impaled. Tsurugi tossed down into hell. Tama saved at the last second by Sasami's sacrifice. Goddamn.

"Since the main episode will be serious this week, I think they're cutting out the ending so they won't ruin the atmosphere. Even though we're recording this I don't think it will air." It's hard to object to a cheery ED after a depressing episode when the ED is so self-aware.
