Default ROD the TV question (spoilerific)

Up until tonight, I had thought that the Nancy Matahari in ROD the TV was the one on the rocket at the end of the ROD OAV. However, the person watching it with me thought it was the clone of Nancy that was defeated and left floating in the water of the I-Jin fortress.

My question is, what is the fan concensus onwhich Nancy is in ROD the TV.

Surely Evil Nancy was killed in the battle with Good Nancy and left as a floating corpse. We're meant to think that only one of them survived that fight - the question being which one. Since she proves herself to be Good Nancy by not killing Yomiko in the rocket, and the Nancy we first see in ROD TV is consistent with how she is at the end of the OVA, I'm convinced ROD TV Nancy is Good Nancy and not the floater.

IMO it's the floater. The Nancy they saved was recovering from asphyxiation, or something--as far as I can tell, it would be a heck of a lot easier to save someone from the water than from a rocket. The fact that Yomiko was asked to "take care of my little sister" also fits with this--if Good Nancy lived and Evil Nancy died, what would be the point of that?

One Nancy is left-handed, the other is right-handed.

You can figure out the rest.

And people who don't even realise how to tell the two Nancies apart by which hand they use to hold the gun, aren't paying enough attention.
Note: There is ONE exception. In the following picture, Nancy fired her gun with her right hand even when she was the original. The animation studio has in fact issued a statment that it was an animation error.

And if you REALLY need it spelled out to you...
The first OVA Nancy is left-handed. The Nancy in the TV series is right-handed.
Proof?

In this opening sequence, you can see Nancy's reflection, suggesting that she is left-handed. This picture showed two things: 1. That there is a twin (you can see the SECOND Nancy fleeing from the bullets after the window was destoryed) 2. The reflection fore-shadows the two Nancies facing off.

Another left-handed Nancy...

And another...

http://www.animegalleries.net/albums...d_nancy034.jpg
A Right-Handed Nancy... But the animation crew had declared that a mistake. It was still the Good Nancy.

Stll L-Handed...

Just before they left India on the plane, the Nancies were switched. When Nancy gave Yomiko her new suitcase, Nancy was carrying it in her right hand... That's when you are suppose to know.

http://www.animegalleries.net/albums...d_nancy065.jpg
The original Nancy was stabbed by the 2nd, bad Nancy... with her RIGHT HAND.

During the Nancy VS Nancy fight, it is perfectly possible to identify which Nancy is which. In fact, you are suppose to know the good Nancy won, because the victorious Nancy who climbed out of the pool of water used her LEFT hand to pull herself out.

http://www.animegalleries.net/albums...d_nancy074.jpg
The good Nancy INTENTINALY used her right hand to hold the gun, to fool her lover. She crushed his heart with her left hand.

ROD TV Nancy. She is RIGHT handed.

Ah, but following a period of oxygen deprivation or stroke [which isn't unusual for a near-drowning], it's possible for the victim to switch right/left handed dominance.

Commentary in one of the Volumes says it was
Evil Floater Nancy

The left/right handed thing is a nice touch; didn't even notice it. Time to fire up my ROD DVD's :p

WOW!
Nice to have something like that pointed out. Now I have to marathon R.O.D all over again.

I'm with Dagger on this. I never even noticed the handedness thing... (I guess I was more focused on other points of anatomy. )

I never went so far as to keeping track which hand they were using, but I thought at the time that it was pretty clear that good Nancy died and evil Nancy turned into TV Nancy.

Other than the hand thing, isn't Junior supposed to be Ikkyuu's son?
