And while I can see holding off solicits in case things change, I really prefer when a company can get everything together in advance, like, say, Geneon soliciting Stellvia so far ahead. Makes preordering easier, especially when you can grab all or most of a show in one sale. Not much of a fan of the 2-3 month thing, standard though it may, I assume, be.

I chaulk this up to wistful thinking on the part of fans. Just like how people seem to think Viz has the R1 rights to Honey and Clover. Until an offical announcement is made, I dont accept it as valid. We are just assuming. Just like we assume since the NATPE listing showed Viz with H&C they must have it. Except that it could have been a misprint on their part, or Viz might be soliciting it for elsewhere. I did sort of wonder why Naruto was also listed when I thought that was already airing in NA.

In this case, Funimation didnt solicit anything. It was the parent company who somehow released information that may or may not be accurate. That is not Funimation's fault. Parent-Subsidiary relationships are not always very close. Sometimes they are very far apart and mistakes like that happen.

That being said, I think most of the time these slips are real and not much will change. I think past performance has shown that. But I dont think we should assume anything until we see the press release. And even then it is subject to revision.
