Fantastic, just fantastic. I am probably more excited about this then just about any other upcoming manga release, and it's looking like it's going to be well worth the wait.
Thanks for the link. ![]()

So, this seems good. Style is recognizably Tezuka's, but the tone doesn't come across as (overly) preachy.
I had been looking forward to this with some hesitation since I began to feel burned out on his work, but now I can't wait to buy this.

But not necessarily the reason you'd expect - it is, very much, about what craaaaazy ass bullshit he's going to pull out of his ass this time.

Yeah, Black Jack is insane, but in a good way. It's a great read, and I'd say it's my overall favorite Tezuka series. There are some awesome cameos as well, from Leo to the one-eyed monk from Buddha as a hitman.
By the way, I wasn't the one who discovered this, but it turns out that there will be exclusive hardcover versions of at least the first three volumes available through Diamond that will include extra stories. Source |

Did they drop the idea of the 400-page, $25, hardcover editions or something? The listing seems to indicate 288 pages, paperback and a $16.95 cover price.
And I'm still undecided on Black Jack. Although Tezuka's Kirihito was one of the best things I've read, I do not particularly like overly episodic stories.

Corrosive: Bah, I'll just wait 'til it's no longer exclusive, and they re-release it in paperback.
