Default Monster Being Dubbed in L.A.

I found this on Tara Platt's Website. It states that she has a few roles in Monster.

Remember, if you want to propose a cast it has to be done in the One and Only Thread.

Great to hear that she'll be in it. No complaints at all.

I am a bit disappointed that Monster won't be dubbed at Ocean though. I just hope wherever they are doing this in LA it gets top notch treatment.

Slightly concerned... but it's too early to make any judgements.

I'm kinda surprised. I was thinking Ocean was going to dub this too because of Death Note. Hopefully, whichever LA studio is dubbing it does a good job on it.

At the moment, it may be hard to verify. She could have dubbed a few episodes that Viz or the bodies above it may have used to shop around the property for release or TV. But it's probably correct.

And while it's a legitimate guess based on past work, why has Studiopolis been speculated in the ANN listing already, Jack?

I'm almost certain the dub is going to be really well done, I think they realize that Monster isn't like any of there other properties and I know that when Viz picks up a really strong and serious series (Bleach, Death Note and now Monster) They generally give it a very strong treatment.

If your tempting me to speculate in this thread I really cannot, unfortunately due to certain rules I have to put my guess for Tenma in the One and Only Thread

I didn't even realize Viz had announced the anime license, which is why it surprised me when I heard about auditions.

I wonder if there is a timeline for the release because I'm immensely excited to see this release... I'm especially interested to see how they handle so many dialects/accents.

I'm actually hoping that we don't go with accents for this one...

Though, despite that, I'm also hoping that they maintain the use of Czech in the series; it was used REALLY well here, I thought; added an element of suspense given that you weren't sure what the hell people were talking about.

...

Oh, and I love how the above post confirms that dub production is indeed going on.
