Summer 2013 charts and general news

So far, the following have caught my eye:

Monogatari - Second Season is a given and a locked import (gotta catch 'em all)

Blood Lad sounds ok and Brains Base is behind it

Teekyuu - it's anime on crack, the second season

Inu to Hasami wa Tsukaiyou -absurd mystery comedy with a dachshund from GONZO - ok, will watch XD

Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya - sure

Hyperdimension Neptunia The Animation - The character designs from the games are superb, but this show better have an inspired writer

For the rest, we'll see. Spring is kind of slow for me with hardly anything import worthy atm, so i'm hoping for some great summer shows here.

So far OreImo is a lock for me and Yuyushiki is as locked as a show can be after one episode. I'm sure I could find four more by the time I finish watching everything... but I will be very tempted to go with a very small import list season (as low as 3 shows) and save up for a potential flood in Summer, considering how much of the list I'm interested in.

That said, only Tamayura and Monogatari are locks. But I'm sure I'll want Love Lab (Douga Koubou doing cute girls doing cute things, what are the chances I wouldn't import?) and Kin-iro Mosaic (some of the cutest looking designs I've seen in ages). Not to mention I always liked Rozen Maiden so I have some confidence in the new season being great.

And that's not considering that A-1 could pull another Working!! with Servant x Service. Gen'ei wo Kakeru Taiyou looks amazing, C3-bu as well. Neptune could be hard to resist if the designs stay as good as the game art I've seen, though video game adaptations tend to be... not great.

Prisma Ilya would probably be an import but I see Shirou in the cast list and more than ~30 seconds of his involvement will probably sink the show for me.

In a totally different direction, I just keep hearing about how amazingly amazing Danganronpa is. It sounds like one of those stories that's really easy to screw up, although if they nail it it could be amazing. But an import? Probably not in a season like this.

I didn't have the first season of Symphogear under import consideration but if they just fix a few things in the sequel (MAKE THEM KISS GODDAMNIT), then maybe...

And of course they're yet more I'm interested in ... but right now the top 5 in terms of import likelihood are:

1. Tamayura ~futatose~
2. Monogatari second season
3. Kin-iro Mosaic
4. Love Lab
5. Rozen Maiden

I guess I could be premature on Love Lab though, since I'm far more likely to import it if the Love in question is, for at least some of the girls, yuri. If it's not then the list changes quite a bit. I could check out the manga but pbft I never do that.

Genshiken Nidaime will be coming in Summer, from Production IG. I didn't finish Geshiken 2 but I'll have to try this.
