The specials are done and this minion is headed home to watch the Olympics. Gabby Douglas is a local for us here in Des Moines, so I'm absolutely required to see how the women's gymnastics go or I'll be banished to the cornfields. No spoilers, please, those of you with access to the BBC coverage or, really, any other news or social site on the internet.

I just got a bunch of new toys this week, a few from work (Tiger & Bunny's Kotetsu in Chibi Arts form, battle Figuarts Zoro and Mihawk) and one from the local Target: the Twilight Sparkle/Shining Armor/Princess Cadence triple pack! The ponies are a little smaller than I thought they'd be, but they look great on my desk. I hope and assume Rarity will be in the next wave, but with which other ponies? Fancy Pants? And... ooh, maybe she could come with Spike! That'd be nice...

Oh, right. If suppose if I'm gonna babble about ponies, I should try and sell you something, too. A minion's lot in life and all that. So, err... enjoy the latest Friendship is Magic DVD, on special this week! And if you'd rather have something more anime-related (who could blame you?), Inuyasha: Final Act has finally been solicited by Viz! I hear they battle Naraku or something, and then everyone falls into hot springs and turns into different animals. At least, I think that's how it ends.

LordGeo noticed a couple weeks ago that Shawne mentioned "exciting" license news twice. Well, I was checking out some of what he's working on yesterday, and exciting is definitely right. Can't wait for the announcement. :D

Especially since I decided to go and grab all the Kodansha SZS volumes I needed right when I saw the sale happening.... Which basically meant grabbing every SZS volume Kodansha has released, seeing as no bookstore in my area seems to stock them.

Finally, there is something from Viz that I actually want to get that is now solicited on Right Stuf. Ever since the announcement came that this show was being released on BD that I was quite excited, but the wait was just way too long. In any case, I'm purchasing this. As for the current sale, I'm safe once again, and for the near, foreseeable future, my wallet will probably not be in danger of being zapped dry by any sale anytime soon.
