Default Spice & Wolf Novel 7 - No more dust jackets?

Just got the Novel yesterday... no dust jacket. Did they drop the dust jackets?

Mine came from Right Stuf.

That's my initial impression. I'll take a look at copies at a local BN, provided they even stock it for sale; I don't recall if I saw #6 there, or not. Maybe sales numbers from book stores shows they're not really selling copies to people who might be turned off by the anime/manga-style artwork? Maybe they just want to cut some of the production costs?

I really hope that sales are still decent, since we've still got a long ways to go to the end of the story...

My copy arrived yesterday from Amazon, and I was also surprised to see the lack of a dust jacket.

That said, even besides preferring the original art, given that the jackets were wrapped around a soft cover, I'm not really bothered by their exclusions, since they tended to get damaged during shipping.

I did just take a quick look at Yen's site and didn't see any mention of them dropping the jackets. For the more proactive, Yen does kinda respond to tweets, although they didn't bother answering the last one I sent regarding a quality concern with the final volume of Bamboo Blade...

Back when the first novel was release, I remember Yen Press said that they decided to go with that picture and not only the manga art was for making more people buy the novels, I suppose that after 7 novels, it doesn't worth anymore the extra money.

I visited three comic book stores in Toronto and I can confirm that Spice and Wolf Novel Volume 7 do not have a dust jacket.

Even the restock of the older volumes (1 - 6) seems to missing the dusk jacket as well.

For volume 1 does that mean it's just the Americanized artwork w/o the novel art dustjacket or that they just dropped the Americanized artwork completely for it and it's just the novel art on the cover now?
