One of the interesting portions of the Haruhi Suzumiya light novels is just how many times it's been printed. I mentioned in the Melancholy subthread that it has been printed over 1 million times, the first/only time a light novel (not paperback) has been printed that many times. Overall, the series has 8.5 million copies in print in Japan (as of May 2012), accumulating an average of 772,727 copies per novel, the highest for any light novel (Index is at 451,613 for comparison). Internationally, the series has 16.5 million copies in print all around the world including manga printings (as of April 2011).

Finally found someone who shared a wealth of Haruhi #s for LNs and the various manga. As mentioned above, the last number we had for manga included international printings, so we don't have an exact number of the amount printed for each series. We do have Oricon numbers for quite a lot though. Let's go!

The title of this short story is Random Numbers (あてずっぽナンバーズ/Atezuppo Numbers) and it will take place during the first part of January as the SOS Brigade goes on their first shrine visit of the year following the trip back from the Tsuruya lodge. This was touched upon briefly in Intrigues, so anyone past that can read without fear of spoilers.
