It really does (unless they say otherwise later). They were so funny and were done for the JP BD re-release, so one would've surmised that FUNimation would have gotten their rights alongside the BD ones for the US release, as well (unless they had an encompassing videogram contract and needed to pay additionally for the omakes). I wouldn't have minded if they were subbed-only, either.
Maybe they'll be on the inevitable OVA series Blu Ray?

Just out of curiosity, why would I want to do that? If I could.
Because if this was a regular upscale from SD, there would be no loss of detail resizing down to SD and then back to 1080p again. But since this wasn't an SD show scaling back to SD would lead to a loss in detail which will be lost forever even when scaled back to 1080p.

It certainly isn't very sharp "HD"; probably close to 540P source resolution for the most part. And yes, there's plenty of aliasing in scenes that use even lower resolution graphic assets. Probably the only thing that's 1080P in the source is the grain filter applied to many scenes. Resizing to SD and back blurs that almost entirely away.
You own the JP BDs right? Is the color banding that's in a lot of those screenshots also on the JP BDs?

If you want to point out specific screenshots and perhaps the episode they came from, I could check. Between work and personal projects I don't have a great deal of time left over to spend on it.

I got those times from the Youtube streams so it's not going to exactly match.

The banding is in the source, but Funi's inability to refrain from raising the brightness on everything makes it much more visible. It's barely visible in the JP BD for the 1st and 3rd, while very obvious in the Funi BD. It's noticeable in both for the second, but much more prominent in the Funi BD. Someone should let them know they aren't working in NTSC any longer.

Thank you for posting those. Good to know Funi didn't cause the banding at least but the brightness raising is starting to become an issue on their releases.
