Well yeah, I don't think CR (with no prior retail presence) would have companies scrambling to give them goods at deep (to varying degrees) discounts for no reason. The benefit to both parties is that they're getting these products front and center of thousands of eyeballs that probably never would have bought it otherwise. Or known it existed.

It's also probably a smart thing that they're primarily focusing on physical goods, because it's unlikely they could compete on entertainment media like DVDs and manga. Especially considering how dirt cheap DVDs have become anyway, and how much you can get from the TRSI bargain bin.

Figures and the like aren't my thing so I don't forsee any of these deals tempting me, but I wouldn't be surprised if they're moving a decent number of some of these (and probably not so much of some). Would be interesting to see how many they sell of each.

I've been operating on a pre-order basis for so long that it seems weird. Like, when it comes to figures, generally if there are some left it means the figure did not sell well. Usually, figures and other character goods sell out rather quickly, due to their limited nature, with the most popular selling out prior to release. Sometimes several months beforehand.

Another thing obvious fact I just noticed is most of their goods seems to be related to shows CR has.^^;

Figures have always been popular. Probably because unlike everything else, you can't download them. I actually wouldn't be surprised if they were more popular than DVDs. Certainly, you will find more figures than DVDs in convention dealer rooms.
