Heh, I have a relative that watches this show. Not that I've seen it myself. Nothing against it, but I have a hard enough time keeping up with animation stuff. Maybe if I managed my time better.

I saw the first episode of the first season and thought it was interesting then promptly forgot about it. Not saying it was bad, but I rarely watch regular TV so I never thought to watch it.

I'm not remembering the name of the series. Have I ever heard of it? ^_^;

The series was supposed to end on season five where they go out with a bang by fighting satan. Then it got picked up for a sixth season so there's concern about there being good stories to tell after that and that it might be a "tacked on" season that loses its charm. Rather than going out on top, it goes out poorly. Like the last season of Babylon 5.

Ah. I see. Maybe it will manage at least to get a couple of good stories in despite that as B5 did in season 5.

But isn't the solution easy? Just don't watch Season 6 and ignore its existence. I, for one, stopped watching Scrubs after its grand finale. All this talk about one more season with only some of the main characters returning just sounds like crazy blabbering to me.

Very interesting. I've only seen one episode of Supernatural myself, but I know it has a lot of female fans in the U.S. (and I can definitely see why they like it). The male characters are ripe for being bishi-fied (and slashed, if the U.S. fandom shows anything); I can see this being a success.

Yes, but will the Winchester brothers be cos-playing as themselves?

Eh, it's a show built on Americana - back-roads, muscle cars, and urban legends. I don't quite fathom why they'd make an anime of it, although it does have touches of the j-horror style to it, mostly in the special effects. Maybe they're going to go for the fujoshi, but the original is more "rough trade" than "bishounen".

I don't have TV, so I've been following the show on DVD, so I have no idea where they went in the fifth season. All part of the great cultural un-bundling - I watch American TV the same way I watch Japanese TV - via DVD box-set.
