Just received another DHL package. The envelope had a small tear but the contents were in mint condition.

Knowing Katakana, Hiragana or at least being able to pick out the Japanese title of something can be a huge help when searching via romaji doesn't yield results that you know should show up. An example would be that if I type in "mitsudomoe" it only pulls up a soundtrack, character CDs and one BD, but because I know what the Japanese name looks like, I can copy and paste it from those entries (or from somewhere else on the net) and then the search pulls up all of the anime releases. Little things like that are usually enough for me to navigate and shop the site with ease. Using Google Translate (i've got it as a plugin for Firefox) is helpful as well for getting a core understanding of what something is saying (like whether or not this is a Limited Edition or figuring out what a list of included items is and small things like that) but it's really really terrible at grammar and word order so it kinda falls apart if you're looking for it to translate a product description in any way that makes sense. I prefer the plugin version vs Chrome's auto-translate because sometimes Chrome tells me that it translated a page when it didn't do jack crap and I don't know how to make it realize that it didn't do anything but the plugin always catches everything. (2) You can type everything using standard English letters.

I did have everything translated in english...I was just confused by name pronunciation... like do I just type my name or do I need to type out how to pronunciate? do I need flash cards? send smoke signals?

山田中村 can be やまだなかむら (Yamada Nakamura) or can just as easily be, say, おおしたどい (Ooshita Doi), to grab two possible options that are pronounced completely differently. So in Japanese you need to spell out your name. If you look at anyone's Japanese Wikipedia entry, there's always a kana spelling next to the kanji so people know how to read it.

I received a DHL package today and had no issues. It was inside a rigid mailer. I wasn't expecting it to get this fast (it only took 2 days). It went from the Tokyo area to Cincinnati to Minneapolis.
