Is adding an item a hassle with them?
Quicker to just cancel your order and place it again, especially since it's an order you just placed a few hours ago, thus there's no real worry of getting a worse spot in line or anything.

The killed their combine order ability earlier this year, so there's no way to just add items to an order. As something said, just cancel your order and then make a new order with the new items. As long as nothing has entered the shipping process, rendering you unable to cancel that item, you can do this with no problem. Just go to "cancel items" in the View Order or Order Details page and check off everything in the order. And if you just placed the order earlier today, nothing should be shipping yet even if they have it in stock. That's what I did to "add" items to my Ookami-san BD order a few days ago.

I think Amazon.jp might have actually fixed the sales tax glitch.

I was filling out my spreadsheet info for Vampire Bund #4 and noticed that somehow, my calculated total ([yen charged according to invoice] x [exchange rate from bank statement]) was higher than what my bank listed. Which meant something was seriously off, because the bank charges another dollar or two in conversion fees, so if the calculation is correct, it should be nearly two dollars lower than what appears on my statement.

So I looked back at the invoice for Bund #4 and noticed something interesting. The two numbers next to the item name said ¥5,231, which is what I've always used for putting into my spreadsheet. However, there is another subtotal below it, which was lower (the first number you see, next to 小計). It was only ¥4,982 and when I plugged that number in, it come out correct. My calculation plus the conversion charge equaled the amount charged to my card.

The difference between the numbers next to the item and the subtotal number was about ¥250, which is what the sales tax comes out to. I went back and checked a bunch of my earlier invoices, and the number for the subtotal listed below the item was the same as the one next to the item. While the charge for Bakemonogatari #6 hasn't finished processing yet, so I can't see the exchange rate information, the invoice has different numbers for the subtotals, just like my Bund #4 invoice.

So something has definitely changed with the invoices, the lower subtotal is definitely sans-tax, and Bund #4 definitely should have triggered the glitch. In fact, the with-tax subtotal IS what I was charged for #2 and #3, which I've yet to e-mail them about because I was going to just wait until this entire order finished since I expected everything in it to get hit with it. So maybe I just got lucky, but it seems to me that signs are pointing to Amazon having actually gone and fixed the glitch.

Maybe, they actually ended up adjusting my Haruhi BD set price correctly when the discount went to 30% without me contacting them.

My most recently shipped item is Bake 6 (IT'S A LIE!!) which went out at exactly the same price I ordered it at. Way back in Dec 2009. I guess I ordered it at 28% off and that's as high as it went in that time. My shipments before this one had items which were hit by the glitch (Hidamari, Sora no Woto).

Haruhi is corrected in my order status, but we'll see what happens. The next items I have going out are K-ON!! 1 and Railgun 7 so I'll have to see what happens there.

Mine is in hand but I haven't opened it yet because I expect there to be no disc inside.

The bake is a lie, and all that.

After looking at the shipments for K-ON!! 1 and Railgun 7, I do think this is fixed. K-ON!! was ordered at ¥5,864 and shipped at ¥5,597. Railgun was ordered at ¥5,772 and went out at ¥5,270, a difference of ¥502, which beings it about in line with what I ended up paying for 4 and 6 after they adjusted those.

Default GHOST IN THE SHELL/攻殻機動隊 [Blu-ray]

Since there is a dedicated thread for Amazon Japan now...I guess this would go here.
