Have you any source that would mention it? Don't see 4-Koma mention at my usual one.

I read Thermae Romae by Yamazaki Mari in the original.
Actually, it is a standard format manga.

Well, I was wondering what was the last license announcement for a 4-Koma manga. If I'm not mistaken, the last one would be the one announcing the license of K-ON! and Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya-chan. Looking at the date on the ANN website, you can note that it was done

So over 2 years ago already. There was no announcement since the creation of this thread in August 2010 (on Mania)... I really wonder if we will see more... At the last convention, Yen Press even said "There will be something for everyone" but there was no 4-Koma announcement, even if they probably know, by being the company that license the most 4-Koma people would think they include 4-Koma fans in "everyone"...

We had a little hope couple of months ago, but the title was cancel...

If they want to release more, what are they waiting for???

I would like to see more 4-koma. Haruhi-chan, Lucky Star, and K-On! are all near the top of my list of favorite manga.
Thinking about it now I cannot remember ever reading a 4-koma that I did not like.

How popular is the 4-koma format in Japan right now? Are a lot of them being produced?
