I'd be interested in buying this but I've heard that Manga Entertainment has had problems in the past with the encoding they've done on their DVDs. I think most notably End of Evangelion.

I will definitely be getting this. It wouldn't surprise me if it's get released later though. These targeted time frames are not always 100% accurate.

I wonder if JP release will come out with English subtitles... This movie is obviously getting a lot of attention among western audience.

And how long ago was that? I shouldn't have thought Manga owns much of their own equipment even in the US these days so the authoring will probably be done by whatever division of StarZ deals with such things, so a better place to look would be something like Spartacus: Blood and Sand. Besides, if there's no upscaling involved I assume there's less room to stuff up when encoding for blu-ray.
I expect the blu-ray will be authored as region AB in the US since there's no PAL/NTSC issues and the PAL DVD costs will be shared by UK and AU (probably done by Madman).

This may of been a pointless question but I asked if it'd be dubbed.

Quote:
@MangaUK I assume REDLINE's US and UK release will be sub-only?

@Saki_Morimi89 Why do you say that? It'll be dubbed in the US by Anchor Bay.

This may of been a "duh" question but I believe it was worth asking.

End of Evangelion was rubbish but it's so old it's not a valid example anymore, heh, it's old enough my country had a different currency back then I'd check more recent stuff like Noein. No use making judgements till the bluray is out and I think the UK manga bluray releases tend to be co-authored, I believe FMA ones are the same as funi's, authored as region A-B.
