As expected the male lead gets a chance to interact with the cute girls of the series. Seems like this will be one of the shows where there might be issues between the leads.

Oh, and let's end the episode with some vampire related stuff! Yeah, this show is going to.... *gets stabbed with a stake before obvious joke can be made*

This first episode felt a lot like playing the galge with Auto text mode. Something about the pacing and how the scenes are strung together. I wonder if it's using the same BGM as the original game?

I enjoyed the relaxing mood and cute girls (especially Shiro). It seems like we still haven't been introduced to one of the main girls: the black-haired one. Was that maybe her getting bitten at the end?

Shiro's older brother sure is protective of her. "Who is this guy? Get away from him and go home." I imagine there's some sort of supernatural secret and/or tragic past to go along with this.

The sounds of Kanada eating hot food lend themselves to a re-edited, extended version.

That was.... okay. Other than supernatural stuff and hints at it, the whole thing and all the characters all felt very paint-by-numbers. Neither good nor bad, just there. Well, might as well give it another episode or two and see how things develop.

Perhaps ironically, the pacing is actually nothing at all like the original game (and the music is different too). But I sort of get what you're saying all the same.

I'm a bit disappointed in the first episode, personally, largely due to the pacing and lack of distinct atmosphere/mood (it's very generic "setup"), but now that we're largely past this phase, we'll see what comes next. I'm very much a fan of the original work, so I know they have decent material to work with at least...

Edit: Now that I watch it again, it's like the story is "on rails". It literally moves from one thing to the next one right after the other and the characters all appear and disappear at just the perfect time to connect the things together as if one long seamless sequence of events. It's just a bit too convenient...

Felt like I was reading a VN (Especially when the door opens to the student council room.), but this isn't a bad thing. I generally like most vampire related things, besides Twilight of course. I liked the set-up, even if it was somewhat generic.

That was kind of how I felt. It doesn't seem too boring to me right now, though, so I'm willing to give it a few more episodes. I like the outfits in the ED sequence.
