I 2nd Naiera. Grain isn't a problem (I guess it comes down to prefference) but the brightness is.

The thing is, the grain becomes a problem because of the brightness. If the brightness was not that problematic, we would not have heard of the grain problem that much.

The grain was a stylistic choice made by those who created the show, and thus plays a role in conveying whatever message they had for the viewer. |

I have an old CRT TV. It has brightness & contrast controls. What do plasmas, LCDs & LEDs sets have instead?

The same thing, but messing with a professionally calibrated tv because one show was ruined by someone somewhere isn't really an option to me. How am I supposed to know how much I'm supposed to turn brightness or contrast up or down to make the series look right? The only sane solution is for companies to NOT mess with shows like someone did with Pandora Hearts.

That's right. I calibrated my TV and I sure hope to not have to recalibrate it every time I watch a new disc.
