All right then, since I just got volumes 1 and 2 of this, I've decided to start a thread for it. Based on the release dates of 1 and 2, I suspect it won't be long before we get volume 3. Unless of course, the chapters have slowed.

In any case, I've "read" through volume 1 and in spite of the language barrier, it had some amusing moments. It just goes to show that sometimes a picture really is worth a thousand words.

I'm going to create sub threads for volume 1 and eventually volume 2, that way I can discuss things more freely. Well, as best I can. I'm sure some will have a better idea of the exact details than I will.


I'm going to take a wild guess that Fuyumi is supposed to be the main girl of the series, but I could be wrong.


On a side note, I just to read through a volume of a manga about a High School Wind Band club while listening to the character single from an anime that's an adaptation of a manga about a High School Light Music Club.


I have no idea why I find that amusing, but I just do.

It could just be me, but it seems like Chinatsu is having a lot of fun with Fuyumi.

Even if I hadn't already known ahead of time, I would have eventually figured out that Asami has quite a bit of trouble with instruments. What with getting herself injured or using them wrong.

Chinatsu goes into cat ear mode multiple times in the volume. I'm sure this is more symbolic than anything else.

Being able to play a flute with your nose is weird, but awesome. Chinatsu is impressive.

I like the part where Fuyumi was sitting in Chinatsu's lap.

Koharu definitely seems like she could be a lot of fun.

I think I'll decide on the favorite girl later and maybe add additional comments later.

Thing is even with books in English, I tend not to remember every single strip that easily and I don't feel like holding the book with one and typing with the other.

Ah, that would explain things. Speaking of things. What's the name of the pink haired girl in the manga? The one that seems to be involved with them on occasion.

Since my Japanese is lacking (that's understatement) due in part to poor memory, it's more about paying attention to images as opposed to reading at this point.

On a more general note, it would seem that if this entry at the mangaka's site means what I think it means then we'll have volume 3 released in January.

Given that volume 2 came about a year ago, it was a given that we'd get volume 3 eventually. Especially since the series is still on going from what I heard.

Speaking of volumes, sometime later, I will get around to volume 2's thread.

The pink-haired woman is Kurome Tsutsuji. She is a teacher and the adviser to the concert band club. She was a member of the concert band club when she was a student.

Yes, Volume 3 will be released in January. Tozakura Nagomi is also busy with the work for Comic Market 79, though. Habitués in the Tozakura Nagomi thread of 2ch talk about Volume 3.

So now, it's just a matter of waiting for the proper information needed in order to send a request to CD Japan and then wait until I can make an order that justifies the shipping costs. Ah, I'll probably worry about it closer to the date.

I find it curious that as of volume 2, only Fuyumi and Chinatsu have been on both covers. Makes me wonder about volume 3. Maybe next time they'll skip out either chinatsu or Fuyumi and have both Koharu and Asami on the same cover. Or they could have Kurome share a cover with Fuyumi and Chinatsu.

It's nice that on occasion we get the 4-koma version of pan shots. Fun with Karaoke! Chinatsu and Fuyumi shall sing together. Chinatsu shall carry Fuyumi!


Chinatsu shows us the way to play two flutes at once. *Tries to imagine that animated*

A segment of them trying out different instruments. And, Koharu has a music sheet on her back for several strips.

Either that tuba is large or that car is small.

Koharu is quick to take off her skirt. Although she is wearing a swimsuit under enough.

Heh, this looks to be a training camp segment. What with the instruments, going with the advisor, etc.

Lots of Koharu practicing with her trumpet. Chinatsu is pulling down her shorts!

Looks like they're playing music for a game and it looks like Koharu wanted to be involved in the game directly.

So now we have Koharu trying the two instruments at once thing except she's trying it with trumpets.


I like the casual clothing outfits they start wearing around page 69 of the book. I'm especially focused on Koharu. Although the other ones are nice as well.

Playing instruments while in a hot spring? I'm not sure that's such a good idea.

An embarrassed Fuyumi worried about her legs being spread out a bit, I think.

Koharu is quite lively and that could be dangerous for others.


Yeah, Koharu is definitely into sports and such.

Swimsuits! All praise that which is swimsuits! A two-piece and we get to see Chinatsu's chest. A school swimsuit for Koharu. A one piece for Fuyumi. A dive suit(?) for Asami!

Well, it looks like we can't complain about variety. Fun with swimsuits and water in general is always a good thing.

I'm convinced that Fuyumi is popular with both Chinatsu and Kurome.

Fuyumi in pajamas too large for her. Koharu as a maid! Asami in an animal costume!

I take it that's supposed tobe a younger Kurome near the end.

I can see why they'd like Fuyumi, she's adorable.

For some reason I have an urge to pair up the girls. Note that I have that urge with a lot of manga that I read, anime that I watch, and so forth. So it's probably more me than anything else.


Disregarding the language barrier issue this volume like the previous one was fun to read and I use the term read loosely. Now that I've gotten a better idea what the series is like my desire for a license has increased.

In other words, Yen Press needs to fulfill their destiny!
