Default Mekaku City Days (Jin)

Wow, Jin's first album came in at a huge 21,726 first week. The light novel serialization of Kagerou Days also topped the Oricon light novel charts that week with 21,232.

Week 1, May 28-June 3

This is one of the vest first weeks for a Vocaloid CD. It's also definitely a good album, I picked it up myself.

Default Voca Nico Night, Sat 7/14

Lifting the description from the Vocaloidotaku post:

VocaNico official site: http://www.nicovideo.jp/vocanico
Livestream: http://live.nicovideo.jp/watch/lv97616425

MC: Hinami Kyoko
Special Guest DJ: kz(livetune)

Other DJs:
HachioujiP (#8Prince)
Kikuo
DJ TEKINA//SOMETHING a.k.a Yuyoyuppe
SmileR
KKK_KKK(RED by t.o.t)

The event will be held on Saturday, 2012/07/14 from 18:00 JST to 22:00 JST, aka 5:00 AM to 9:00 AM EST. I'm either going to have to go to sleep really early that Friday or time shift.

The only DJ I'm not familiar with is KKK_KKK but one of the songs he played sounded familiar. You have no idea how many people I would happily kill for AVTechNO! to get in on something like this, but the list is really good anyway. Especially Yuyoyuppe and kz. This should be a lot of fun, provided the stream doesn't shit itself like it did for the March Kanshasai. Since it's free I'm worried about what the load will be like, but it should also be a much much lower profile event than the big concerts.

Default MikuPa Hong Kong & Taiwan

http://vocaloid.blog120.fc2.com/blog-entry-12209.html
http://www.vocaloidism.com/2012/06/2...ng-and-taiwan/

Another MikuPa concert has been announced: October 2 in Hong Kong and October 6 in Taiwan. Now to see if they'll be streamed on Nico. Though I assume they'll be the same concert as the previous MikuPa.

Default New kz and supercell singles

Both kz and supercell will have their latest vocaloid singles released at the end of August. Their respective songs are part of the latest Project Diva game that'll be released around the same time on the Vita (followed by the PS3 at some point).

Interesting that the singles are being release separately instead of bundled together like their previous songs for PJD2.

kz/Hachioji-P : Weekender Girls/Fake Doll - link to the limited edition, regular edition also exists.
Sample of song - from PJD F trailer

Supercell - Odds and Ends - just linking to the regular edition, but there are two limited editions each bundled with a DVD or BD.

Both songs are really good. I really like the emotion in Odds and Ends.

Both are probably big enough now - supercell especially - to not want/need to share the headline I guess.

Hopefully they keep making Project Diva games, since that's almost the only way we get supercell Vocaloid anymore. Of course I'll be getting both of these CDs.

Default Live mini-concerts at SEGA Joyopolis

SEGA will be holding twice daily live mini-concerts of Hatsune Miku as part of their reopening of the Joyopolis amujsement center from July 14th to September 2nd. It's pretty much a promotion for the new PJD game since it'll only be three songs - Odds and Ends, Weekender Girl and Time Machine.

Miku on stage performing all three of those songs? I'd be there every weekend to catch the mini-concerts.

News via Andriasang and ANN. But, 4Gamer and Game Watch have pictures from the concert during the press event.

The model looks to be the same one used in PJD:F which is nice - she looks soo good.

Reasons for the first two are obvious, but what's the reason for Time Machine (besides it just being an incredible song)? Was it recently added to Project Diva?

Yea, it's a new song for the series and the three songs are being performed because I think they are the three songs used in the demo of the game people can try out at Joyopolis.

Judging from the pictures, the choreography used for Time Machine is taken from Mikupa - which makes sense, why spend money on something new when you already have something awesome to use.

I really hate Niconico Douga sometimes. I couldn't be up at 5AM to watch this so I time shifted, but I've been trying for hours with virtually no success getting it to play. Both JP and ENG sites keep saying "Preparing to play archive files now. Please wait." the best I managed was about 45 minutes on the ENG site (Hachiouji was up and it was awesome) before it started hitting buffering every 20 seconds or so. Then after a pause to let it load some more, it refused to play at all.

The March concerts were terrible like this too. How can a site as big as NND be so incompetent with streaming? I wasn't even watching it live, and I have a Premium account, for what good that shit does. I saw someone is tryign to rip the timeshift and get a torrent up but I want to be watching this now, and this is what their stupid site is supposed to be for.

Ugh. NND you are so bad.

Just ran into a new one while watching Sengoku Collection episode 14. The second ED is composed by SmileR (vocaloid wiki, niconico), and it's kinda funny because as soon as it started I thought "huh I could see a Vocaloid singing this", so I checked the credits and there you go, SmileR is listed.

Didn't realize it had been so long since his last NND contribution (mostly 2010, one 2011), but one just went up yesterday: Masshiro na Campus. Pretty nice song.

Edit: And wow, I just started episode 15 and noticed the OP is composed by Oster Project!
