2012 should be pretty loaded too, with Macross F: Sayonara no Tsubasa, K-ON!, Sengoku Basara, FMA: Milos no Seinaru Hoshi, Sore no Otoshimono (won't sale over 100k, over even 50k, obviously), Negima!, Hayate, Blood-C, and Kizumonogatari all coming out.

Also, UBW's sales should have been more in the range of Haruhi's and Gintama, not in the 60k range. Really shows how DEEN dropped the ball on that. No wonder the producers (Aniplex) of Fate/zero gave the production rights to ufotable. Speaking of which, I wonder if it will end up selling more than Fate/stay night did? No doubt DEEN's bumbling effected sales, and it still ended up doing 26k with very consistent averages over the volumes. Fate/zero has superior production and staff on its side (and Gen and Kajiura are really hot right now after Madoka) so I'm hoping ufotable will turn it into a 40k series.

EDIT: Oh, this week's Steins;Gate has put it back up to 5 in the rankings.

It's barely even a spoiler, has been hinted everywhere, and is common knowledge at this point. It would have gone unnoticed had you two not overreacted like that. I'll edit the post to prevent more unwanted butthurt.

I wonder if we'll some steady sales of volume 1, for a few weeks, since the 2nd half of the show, which the just aired episode is the beginning of, is where things start to get really exciting.

"Hours" = common knowledge? Really, it isn't. The newness of the episode is all the more reason not to post something like that.

The point people are making is, this is not a Steins;Gate discussion thread. You can post in the appropriate episode subthread of that thread all you want about it. But dropping hints in completely unrelated threads so close to the release of the episode (which I have not watched yet, nor the episode before!) is really bad. Especially for a thriller/suspense show like Steins. Sigh.

Anyway, in case I never made it clear, discussing spoilers (even tagged, just blocking out one word is of limited use when the rest of your sentence almost gives it away) is officially forbidden in this thread. Let's just stick to sales, and talk specifics in the GA forum.

What...is Steins;Gate doing underneath Index? And where is Azazel-san in BDs? Hell, what is Azazel-san doing underneath Freezing in DVDs?? Goddammit Amazon Stalker, you're getting more and more unreliable. My guess is that when there is a large influx of sales at one time, it skews the points because even though it's being ranked in a high position due to the sales at that time, it doesn't necessarily mean it is outselling something with lesser points that has a more consistent flow of sales and doesn't just blow up after one episode. It's another flaw of the point system along with series ranking in the top positions too long (kind of goes hand in hand with it for some series, and we seem to be seeing it with S;G now). Hope that explanation made sense. Well, at least AoEx is pretty consistent with the estimates (7-8k DVDs and 5k BDs).

EDIT: For those who may be wondering, T&B doesn't come out until tomorrow which is why it's not on the daily ranking.

One of the internet's most popular and annoying spoilers was two words (non-anime related). The length isn't as important as the content. Personally, I don't give a shit about spoilers 95% of the time, but others do so use tags. And it might be a good idea to keep it to relevant threads.

Sigh... Number of words is irrelevant, and he's not the only one unhappy about it. It was just bad judgment and I'd like to move on, without remarks about "butthurt" or "bawing", which are pretty unfair.

Would that be surprising? I don't think Steins was getting pegged as a 20k show or anything. Being below Index could still be 10k BDs.

Basically. the point system has issues and favoring the top spots so strongly is the one I've complained about. Somewhat related, that one day at #15 or so probably messed up Lotte's points.
