An anime about someone who wants to draw manga. Made by the same people who wrote/drew the Death Note manga.

(Also, don't get trolled. Those who have already "seen" it know what I'm talking about.)

This. Was quite pleased when I finally got to actually watch it, though.

I've heard a lot about this from my brother who has been following the manga, and I ended up liking it a good bit more than I expected to (his tastes and mine tend to diverge a good bit despite the fact he regularly raids my DVD collection for things to watch...).

And MAN is Miho's seiyuu (Hayami Saori) booked SOLID for this season- She's in this and like HALF of all the other new stuff (not really exaggerating that: SoraOto Forte, MM!, OreImo, and Star Driver...).

For TV series she's second only to Yuuki Aoi for this season. Tied with Taketatsu.

SFW or whoever that was should just be hurt for that...

3 hours later I actualyl got to see it, and it was just Bakuman animated no big surprise, I liked the theme song at the beginning and spotting the many Shonen Jump references will be fun. Bakuman is a good story and this is just the anime of it.

- Fake OP is Moritaka's uncles anime. Nice touch
- So yeah, as expected episode 1 was more or less a carbon copy of chapter 1 of the manga. Not that I'm complaining, it was done well.

I've only read the first Viz volume so hopefully the release schedule of it will overlap nicely with the anime.

Well, the first episode started out well, and I just loved seeing the Shonen Jump references.

That was great. Loved the fake OP and the reference to Death Note. Despite the character models seeming slightly off, the setup was very good. Looking forward to more of this.

So I wasn't the only one going (after seeing MM yesterday and Star Driver today), "Wait... that's Hayami Saori, again?!" when I was hearing her near the end of ep. 1. And sure enough I see her name in the credits. I haven't even started on SoraOto Forte or OreImo yet, so there's still more to come (even if I already know her for the former from the previous series) She has such a lovely voice that I'm not complaining there's so much of her this season, though.

And this show seems kind of interesting too. I may follow along further.
