Default Silent Mobius: Complete Editions

Does anybody have a clue as to UDON ENTERTAINMENT's status with continuing the release of the Silent Mobius: Complete Edition Graphic Novels? RightStuf has been out of stock for months and I have never found any book on any store shelf. I hope this isn't one of those "discontinued" titles I read about.

Volumes 1, 2, and 3 of the Silent Mobius: Complete Edition are still currently "In Stock" at Amazon. And while I'm honestly not sure if I've ever seen these books at a chain bookstore, they've definitely appeared (in limited numbers) at my local comic book shops.

Volume 4 was scheduled to release (if I remember correctly) around May 2010 and has been MIA since. Unfortunately, on the schedule page of the Udon Entertainment website, the book has now been relegated to a "Pending 2011" release date. I do hope they'll continue and finish the series, but I'm not getting my hopes up...

I would say, in general, with Udon published books, it's best to buy them immediately, since you can't be certain they'll print more copies, once a particular title sells-out.

I've pretty much given up on buying anything from UDON at this point. They do great work, both on their original comics and their licensed/translated works, but their publishing schedule has been erratic and delay-plagued from pretty much day one...

It looks like Vol. 4 will be coming soon-TRSI now has a release date of April 20th (This coming Wednesday). I've had this pre-ordered for months & am looking forward to finally getting it after all this time.

Be nice if the news is true, but this being an Udon product, I'm not holding my breath.

The book is still listed as "Pending 2011" on the Udon site, although it's currently showing on next week's comic book shipping list from Previews. Amazon updated their product page with a 4/19/11 date, as well, but the book is only being offered through a seller on their market place.

Guess we'll see next week...

Glad I have the flipped Viz. That took years to be released completely!

The book's currently "In Stock" and being sold regularly through Amazon. It also remains on this weeks comic book shipping list from Previews/Diamond, so ideally the volume should be in comic stores tomorrow.

Hmm, was going to hold-off another week or so before placing a manga order, but might have to revise those plans, while the book is still available at Amazon. Not really sure if any of my local comic shops will be actively stocking this series, anymore...

I was picking up this series but I gave up after the long delays. I think the world of Silent Mobius will be our present day by the time they complete the entire series.

We're only 12 years away, at this point.

And yeah, as long as it's an Udon book, it may be a long time (if ever) before they manage to release the remaining 8 volumes, not to mention SM:Klein and SM:Tales.

I noticed it's available through some of the marketplace sellers on Amazon UK as well. One crowd I usually get my books from has it in stock, so I ordered a copy.
Amazon has quite a few of the old Viz volumes floating around there too. I'm in two minds about picking them up or just wait for the Udon releases to appear, whenever that might be.
