I looks great to me. I haven't seen or had any problems with the discs far. Detail is great...and the audio is rich (for 2.0 anyway).

Say, I have a question for anyone who already has this set. Is there a fight in episode 4 that involves the ocean and a shark being split in two? Namely the Shichika vs. Sabi fight that was cut from the broadcast version?

That wasn't cut from the episode, that's just how the episode is. The novel is the same way as well.

And based on your response, I'm guessing that it wasn't included on the dvd/blu ray release?

Consider it a troll, albeit a troll where they delivered 3 good fights rather than only one good fight in an episode.

Two reasons:
A) That's the joke. It's the most epic battle of all time.... and the audience doesn't see it.

B) It's in the preview so as not to give away what the real action in that episode involves.
