He also clarified that Sentai does have both the OVA shorts and the voiced-over 4-panel content for Samurai Girls and will be including them on the upcoming releases - and it will be an uncensored release.

Got this today. The OVAs and Narrated comics are subbed only. Boo.

Anyway, screen grabs coming soon.

That's an awful lot of ringing. Oh well, it's probably just baked into the masters. At least I don't think any other Sentai release has had sharpening artifacts of note.

I'll make it a point to pick this up shortly.

Got this yesterday... 1st thing thou, couldnt stand the dub, it feels like it's way campy to me. that's from the opening monologue. Also went into this show with no prior knowledge... but strikewitches anyone? oh well there goes my hopes of a period samurai show. That's all from the opening monologue. Oh well I bought this for the T&A anyway...

anyway... i also dont like the dub due to the fact that they swapped name order... yeah it's Juebi Yagu /bleh worse it's carried over into the subtitles! noticed it earlier when in the 1st episode... didnt dawn on me till Juebi made her entrance at the end and announced herself. I can overlook the dub name swap... but the subs too?

Btw even Bandai's/Geneon's dub of Juebi-chan kept it as Yagu Juebi.

Not only does it read funny... it sounds funny. For instance lets look at a real historical person from the 20th century, Sun Yat-sen. Family name is "Sun" and the name is published in US History books as Sun Yat-sen. There is no need to swap it. No one has ever pronounced the guys name as Yat-sen Sun. But I guess if he ever showed up in a Sentai dub/sub script it would be huh?

I stopped watching this after the 1st episode... I'll get back to it once I digest some of this disgust for the subs.

btw 9 episodes on the 1st disc... that's sort of pushing it dont ya think? oh well i'll see the results later when I watch the rest of it at some point

It's not a serious show, don't expect the dialogue to be incredible, Japanese or English.

And names get swapped around all the time in English dubs, I can't believe you didn't expect it. Happens in subtitles now and again too, not as regularly but it still happens.
