Kazé France is slated to have the 2nd film released on 9/5/2012. If it's anything like how the 1st film is handled (FR: 2/8/12; US: 3/13/12), Sentai Filmworks may release the 2nd film sometime this fall. All of this is subjected to change especially a Japan release hasn't been solicited yet.

Looking for some clarification here. I bought the first compression a while back on DVD, never watched it. I finally got to reading the manga now (messed up series, but interesting) and was gonna watch this.. but evidently they released a 'directors cut' version. I did some searching and i guess there was a theatrical and directors cut version. I found this site that shows the difference

It seems like it just has a lot more nudity and sex in it pretty much. But its a bit odd.. some scenes seem like they have less of the story aspects in them

I just want to double check: the DVD i have is ONLY the theatrical version, right? I have to purchase this BD to get both versions? Im not sure if its worth it. It also seems like the UK version is different as well?

I also wanted to make sure. The 2nd movie comes with both versions as well right? Or is there only 1 version for that? I dont want to buy it twice as well >_< Why did they even release a DVD version that was missing content?

They released the regular edition of the first movie because Sentai probably didn't even know there was going to be a director's cut. For the 2nd movie they're waiting for the director's cut so they won't have to release 2 DVDs again.

For the first movie, it's my (mis-?)understanding that ADV had to copy the Japanese pattern of release by putting out the theatrical version (DVD-only in Japan? CDJ and Amazon don't seem to list it now), followed later by the DC version (on DVD and BD).

For the 2nd movie they're waiting for the director's cut so they won't have to release 2 DVDs again.

I don't think that there was a theatrical version released in Japan, since it had violence without the sex that time.
