Episode 36:

- Mooooore Hisoka! <3 <3 <3
- ::orgasm noise:: "Gon... Gon..." This is the least subtle thing ever XD
- WOW. Just, wow, Hunter x Hunter. I still can't believe there was worry Hisoka would be toned down. I don't remember him being nearly this over the top orgasmic about Gon in the original anime.

I love Hisoka x Hisoka.

The main character of a fighting shonen series doesn't win his grudge match with his rival? Hunter X Hunter is shonen done right. Playing with all the tropes and expectations but doing it's best to tell a good story beyond the cliches. Plus this delivered even more of the fantastic fight animation that last episodes gave us as an appetizer.

Hisoka. Wow. He is as disturbingly turned on by combat with little boys as I remember. Yet some how far far more over the top. The animation and his seiyuu are doing what I though was impossible from my rose colored memories of the manga. Being so close to coming across as a pedophile, yet not actually being one. Some how he managing to be someone far more dangerous and surprisingly equally likeable. It's magic. May his crotch glow on forever.

Nice. I was thinking the episode would end before the fight started, but we got a couple minutes of really good solid fighting in at the end. And the "secret hunter exam" is finally over, although I still think it's kind of dumb that people who can pass the hunter exam and are experts at some fighting techniques have somehow never heard of nen. Seems like the sort of thing they should have learned before the exam, not after. Next episode should be good...

Hisoka vs Gon continues.
As things are now, Gon just doesn't stand a chance.
Hisoka was just incredbile, his powers are amazing.
He managed to kick Gon's ass and lecture him all at the same time.
So this concluded their stay at Heavens Arena.

-A nice healthy boys only camping trip. *wink* Boys.

-Who is Gon's father? Let's find out now.
-Mito is Gon's cousin not aunt but she acts just like a mother to him. *shrug*
-"MY BOX! You can't touch!"
-Gon is very cunning yet seems to fail at simple puzzles.
-Inside the box was an ancient mix tape Ging created for his son... And a hook! A hook for a later arc of the series that is.

A slow cool down episode but really coming off two episode of Hisoka awesomeness there was no other choice. Ging is a horrible absentee father. However his legend as a Hunter just keeps growing.

Gon finally arrived home.
It was nice watching him and Killua just be kids for a while.
The story about Gon's (Ging) dad was pretty interesting.
So now the new mission will be finding Gon's dad who's also a hunter.
That mysterious box be probably be very useful in the future.
That should be really interesting to watch.

Episodes 37:

- Now for some rest and relaxation.
- Animals love Gon! Gon loves animals! Except that fish. Fuck that fish. You gonna get eaten.
- "There's only one other kid my age, and she's a girl." And girls have COOTIES.
- And Gon proposes to Killua. May they live happily ever after.

- Gon's mom. I hadn't thought about her at all. I wonder if we'll meet her or if she really is just dead.
- Awwwwwww, Mito-san overhears Gon talking about how much she means to him.

Mito-san is a good woman. And now the quest to find Ging is on!

Some nice calmness, and plenty of background on Ging. Now Gon and Killua are off to Yorknew City. I can't wait to see how epic this turns out.
