Episode 65:

- Hahah oh right, there's no fight, he just sends them back with a card.
- And off Killua goes, to pass the exam "real quick". Well it should be a piece of cake for him.
- Bomber makes people go boom. Bye bye people.

I can't remember if we see much of Killua's Hunter Exam but I hope we do, even if it's pretty much besides the point now.

-Spiders. Razor. Ejected.
-VOLLEYBAAAAAAAALL!!!
-Gon's fighting style of rock paper scissors is simple but has a deadly efficiency. Just like him.
-Bye Killua. Have fun storming the Hunter Exam.
-Oh hi Bomber victim. How you doing? Still gonna blow up huh. That sucks.

-Aww he made a new friend to eat the bomb. A creepy demonic withered clingy pokemon looking friend.
-The Mad Bomber What Bombs at Midnight offers you all Release. The release of death.
-Oh hi giant pikachu/fox family. Take good care of Killua.

I hope the rest of this arc just follows Killua & ignores the island until it's over.

- Yeah, like you would cut them apart.
- The power of acting!
- Killua recognize that Biscuit is really good.
- He cut her hair… he is dead.
- She knows Gon’s father.
- Time for training.

Default Episode 66

And he just beats everyone immediately anyway... What was even the point of having him take the Exam at this point if it's entirely inconsequential? And it kinda takes away from the initial weight of him having failed the first time, although so much has happened since then that it's not really a factor anymore. Obviously he had to officially become a Hunter eventually, but I would've much rather they given him another real Exam, rather than just randomly sticking it in the middle of another arc and having it be completely pointless.

But that was only the very beginning of the episode. Once they completely forget that this was ever a part of the story, they go right back to normal Greed Island business. I was wondering how Kurapika factored in when I saw the preview last week, but that makes sense.

Episode 66:

- What a cute pink bag you have there, Killua. Dick Sakura sounds like the name of a feminine sex toy shop.
- Damnit OP, stop teasing Hisoka! WHERE IS HE! I NEED HIM NOW!
- Hahahaha oh right, I forgot about this. Killua just defeats every single Hunter examinee in the first round. That's so cruel. But that's why I love Killua.

- Don't leave Biscuit out of conversations. It's dangerous.
- Oh wow, ask and HxH shall deliver. HISOKAAAAA!
- Heh. Killua learns the dangers of gambling.

So, hey, Team Biscuit are finally playing Greed Island.

It served two purposes for me: 1) comedy, and 2) showing just how huge a deal the mastery of nen is. A skilled nen user in a sea of novices who have never heard of nen and who don't have "Protagonist Armor" is like pitting the World Heavyweight Champion in the ring against a bunch of tired toddlers. See for example what a joke it was for Hisoka and Izumi to pass, when they didn't have to deal with plot-significant characters.

The show has stressed up to this point that the Hunter exam is a bare minimum prerequisite to even start learning true strength. It's not an end in and of itself for any serious fighter. So I don't think it's even possible that they could have constructed a Hunter exam that wasn't completely laughable for Killua.

-Dick Sakura? What was Penis Cherry Blossom too subtle?
-"There's too many people this year. Beat the snot out of each other. You have two hours until lunch." Heh.
-AHAHAHAHA! "So is there gonna be a second stage?" Hehehehehe.
-Chrollo! YOLO.
-Wait yeah, how the heck did Chrollo even get into the game?
-Oooh. Man the Spider's are awesome. Even while just providing exposition.
-Hisoka is such a kind soul. Helping Chrollo get his Nen back. So he can try to kill him... *shrug*
-Aww sucks to be you father of Neon. She lost her magic you based your entire fortune on. *point* *laugh*
-No more time for training. Biscuit wants to beat the game. What Biscuit wants, Biscuit gets.

-Collectable card game trading is serious business.
-Blah blah blah trading. Blah blah blah Witch's Love for VIP Multi-pass. Blah badee blah
-The lucky dice. The salvation and damnation of man a tabletop RPG player.
-"The story is nearing it's climax." You better not be teasing narrator. I tire of the Greed Island arc.

Spiders are always fun to see. Card trading not so much.

Killua bouncing around.
He passed hunter's exam without a sweat.
It was just too easy for him.
Now that he's back on Greed Island new adventures will follow.
Using Chrollo's name in the game made tensions rise.
I still don't quite get how those spells work since it's not a game, but reality.

Oh right, normal contestants don't know Nen yet. It still seems like they could've thrown in someone on par with Hisoka or Izumi during the original Exam. But really, I'm just more confused why it was thrown in at this particular moment.

Maybe Togashi was planning the next arc and suddenly he realised: "Oh, shit, Killua isn't a Hunter, he can't take part of this". And he solved it making Killua get his licence during Greed Island xD

I don't say more because it would be a spoiler of the next arc...
