I have to disagree, 360 is THAT bad. Most people will take another avenue instead of that. That's what they have to understand. At this time and age, they have to offer 720, if they want less people take another option.

I'll give it a shot. 360p is shit, but I'm not too attached to seeing this Gundam series anyway, so I may not end up watching more than a few episodes.

...in South Asia.

*sigh*

Nice work Sunrise, though at least all the English speakers there can then upload the video without being arrested by Japanese cops.

So "Sunrise" is Japanese for "Trips over one's own d*ck" it seems.

Why bother with English subs if you're not going to show it in the U.S.? Fuck you Sunrise, fuck you.

Only reason to block this show in the US would be if someone already had the rights to the show. Bandai has a big announcement at NYAF, I bet you it is Gundam Age, and a stream is coming soon, now Bandai has made deals with Crunchy before, and they have just put stuff on Youtube before, so it is all up in the air now. I find it hard to believe America wouldn't get this show streamed if other English speaking countries do.

Man so much entitlement on this thread concerning quality, how long have you guys been following anime, a year? 360 is great compared to what we all had 4 years ago.

No one ended up putting Haruhi online while it was airing, to be honest I can see why, could you imagine how bad the fall out would have been. Oh well, at least Funimation was smart enough to do it with FMA

WHEN I WAS A KID
UPHILL BOTH WAYS
SNOOOOOOOOOOOW IN SUMMER

Spare me. It's 2011. It's not four years ago. Streaming high quality action anime in 360p is a fucking joke and you're free to settle for that but don't expect us all to jerk Bandai off for failing to do what Crunchyroll has managed to do for a couple years now and what TV has done for longer. And it's precisely because I've been following and buying (I import like $1000 in R2s a month, but please, use the "entitlement" line again, I could use another good laugh) anime for a decade that I know how far video quality has come and will never, ever accept blatant, unnecessary technological regression.

Most of the English-speaking world isn't in the US. I agree it's extremely stupid to not stream it here (or elsewhere), but that also doesn't mean it's not a good idea to stream it in SE Asia with English subtitles. English is a common second language there (there's a reason Animax sometimes airs English-dubbed anime).

My guess is just poor international marketing on Sunrise/BV part. I.e., instead of announcing all the streams at the same time, they're doing it piecemeal.

Ten years. Thanks for asking.
