FUNimation & NicoNico Announce US Partnership, Fall Simulcast List

NicoNico sucks. I wish these series were on CR, I like watching my anime in full screen. Hopefully the other shows are on the Funi page otherwise I'm just gonna be downloading rips and fansubs of the shows that are only on NicoNico.

How can they start offering this stuff and not have a full screen mode and premium membership already worked out? So annoyed atm.

I know. It's like the deal was made a little too soon. I mean, if people heard about the deal today and go to the Nico Nico website and realize there is no real full screen, they may go away and never came back to see if there is a "real" full screen later on.

In my case, I'll go with Nico Nico right now and hope for a change ASAP.

Great, now the Guilty Crown and Last Exile simulcast pages on the funimation website are giving me a big fat access denied. Annoyed x10 atm. So freaking stupid.

There are issues all over the place on the FUNimation site including access restrictions. The news feed is messed up as well; it has been rolling back old news.

EDIT: it looks like it's fixed now.

Both pages are loading for me at the moment. Sophie said they'd been rebuilding the permissions which is probably the cause.

Agreed. And, again, what's the point of 720p HD streams if you can't do true full screen? Also, what happens if I want to watch an episode on my TV via a HTPC?

At least with Funimation you can full screen, but the quality isn't great.

Between both companies, why can't we get both full screen mode and HD quality?

I just hope Niconico will change/update their video player in the near future.

Well, when my browser is set to full screen, I think the video does look better in the HD format. Nico Nico have to make the change really soon.

I mentioned this in the series thread...but the opening for Last Exile Fam the Silver Wing is edited. At the beginning, when the birds swarm around the three girls, you see their naked bodies (briefly). Funi and NicoNico's streams just cuts to their faces, which look crummy quality (they did a crop it looks like).
