From what I can tell (on Niconico) those 3 series don't have any color distortion. They don't have a Funimation logo at the start either, which makes it clear where the problem is coming from.

The subs for these 3 series are too high up on the screen though, which is just as bad imo. I guess I won't be watching these series there unless they make them lower in future episodes.

Well, it's good that all 3 series will be release on time for me, since I strart this season 1 month late. Let's see now for the remaining 2.

Quite: it seems like the deal must be niconico mastering the stream-only ones and FUNimation mastering the ones where they've got the full license up front.

Is that to get the subtitles out of the way of those silly niconico comments?

So I'm watching through C3 now on Niconico. Is anyone having a problem on episode 3, with it blacking out at around 11:40? I think it's only a problem for a small segment (moved forward to later in the episode, and it was working) I have to go over to FUNimation's website (with its crappier quality stream) to watch some of the episode which annoys me.

Specifically, back at about 12:18, right at the eyecatch. Hoping Niconico doesn't have this kind of problem with the other simulcasts...

I guess Haganai isn't happening. It was in the PR, but nothing anywhere else.

I didn't try Nico Nico up to now, but comments such as buffering, having to wait before playing an episode, skipping some part of the video... makes me remember of CR of the past...

It's probably just late showing up. FUNi will have a lot to answer to if they hype up having certain titles in their press release and then they never even show up at all (or extremely late in the season). Being patient for now...

Ah, so that would be it. I figured it might be a case of someone else doing the simulcast rights.
Hmm... now that I watched some of them (with them up now), I noticed there are some differences with the C3 simulcast. On FUNimation's website, the Kadokawa Video and Kadokawa Pictures logos play before FUNimation's on both Future Diary and Maken-ki, but only FUNimation's plays on C3. Also, on Niconico, Future Diary and Maken-ki stream like other Kadokawa series did last season, with the video completely loading up at the start, and it expiring on you if you keep it paused too long. C3 loads as you watch it as is common for non-Kadokawa titles on Niconico. Seems indicative of different right holders to me, though maybe Kadokawa is still involved.

The lack of a Kadokawa logo on FUNimation's stream is probably evident of Kadokawa having less involvement in the series, but that doesn't mean that they didn't provide the content.

In case my source wasn't clear, the part of it that stands out is:
チャンネル提供:株式会社角川コンテンツゲート
Provides Channel: KADOKAWA Gate Ltd. Content (Google Translator)

Back to color distortion, while Niconico's streams for these 3 series are fine, Funimation's are not. The only one I've tried (more accurately, seen screenshots of) is Future Diary, and it definitely has had it's brightness increased. I would assume the other 2 series have similar problems on Funi's site.
