Ah, I believe this is one of the last OVAs done on cels. Not sure if all the eps were done on film, but hopefully Bandai doesn't cheap out and do an upscale like they did for Big O.

Looks like they cheaped. This one is definitely an upscale.

Makes me a little apprehensive about picking up the Devilman OVA set, if this is the route they're going.

I bought it along with the Mazinger Movies set, which actually had most of the features remastered in HD.

Definitely a disappointment, considering that Mazinkaiser *should* have looked outstanding in HD even with a low budget transfer.
