FWIW (since the info may not be accurate or may be subjected to change), the pre-order listing is now back up with the placeholder date. The product listing title no longer say "Strike Witches-Season 2 Blu Ray/DVD Combo Limited Edition." It now says "Strike Witches: Season Two (2012)" with no mentioning of Blu-ray.

One thing is sure...because of this release, I will not make the same huge mistake again...waiting for the US BDs for something I really like and when I decide to buy the JP BDs, season 1 is not availiable anymore...

Whether if S2 is really striped down to DVD only or not, it looks like Manga UK will release the series before FUNimation (on DVD): July 23rd.

I guess now the possibility remains for a 2012 FUNimation release (likely DVD). Then again, Madman Ent. (AU)'s time frame could still change if FUNimation doesn't release the series on their end.

Madman Ent. still hasn't post the full details on the SMASH! licenses on their main site. It will be interesting to see how this come about (or maybe Sly and co gave incorrect info).

Do you remember the War on Pants? Here's a link to the YouTube video from a while back to refresh your memory. That was a fun little choose your own adventure. Thankfully, enough of you voted that I live .... so here I am.

Well, the war on pants continues! Strike Witches Season 2 will be available on Blu-ray + DVD Combo on October 2nd (or December 31st?).
