Hyouka v6 sells 7236/1101, total 8,337. As noted, best first week sales yet. Closest was 8,173 for v4, the one that topped 10k. If DVDs can just rank next week, it could hit 10k after just two weeks, unless it has a smaller wk2 than recent volumes.

This sure is awesome. I'm surprised that a v6 is the one to have the best first week... I hope it will reach 10k next week.

No, that episode, which was streamed via ustream causing that "eye cancer," will be included with the third volume of the manga, releasing next month on the 26.

Hooray, it took longer than I would have thought (couple weeks of [relative] downtime), but Chuunibyou cracks the top 20 again, and gets all volumes in the top 100 and rising fast. I guess orders for store-specific bonuses are closing, or the latest episode (which I'll watch on Saturday, so no spoilers!) just drove a big increase. Oh and once again, the increase is delayed about a day or so after the initial airing... odd.

GirlPan also sets a new record: #4. It hadn't topped #5 before now. It's really piling the points on now, almost worryingly so if it doesn't match this with non-Amazon success. Don't want another title overestimated by half! But it is gaining a little bit of traction outside of Amazon.

HMV (Top 100) is dominated by Chuunibyou, which often has 6 or 7 volumes in the top 10, though less so n Saturdays when a higher volume of customers comes in for other titles. GirlPan is making good progress with its early volumes here, though.

Gamers (Top 10) is utterly dominated by Little Busters! and has been all this season. It's been hogging the top 10 almost entirely to itself. I really wonder how much of a show's sales Gamers can account for. If they're big, then it could well outperform Stalker's estimates, but I dunno, could we be talking 5 copies a day securing #1?

Animate (Top 10) is far more popular among the ladies (UtaPri, KuroBas, boy band BDs), so titles like Chuu2 and GirlPan don't dominate, although Chuu2 shows up far more often than GirlPan.

Rakuten (Top 300) doesn't have otaku titles high up very often so it's not very telling.

Softmap (Top 10) is dominated by LB! and SAO, though GirlPan has been in the list a lot lately, while Chuu2 has not.

Unfortunately Stalker doesn't track Toranoana and neither have I been. I guess all in all, Chuu2 seems stronger outside Amazon than GirlPan, but GirlPan is at least charting well. Then again, I don't remember Tari Tari doing much worse at B&M and we saw what happened there. Still, GirlPan is much much stronger at Amazon lately than Chuu2.

Everything else... well, they're all far behind lately. Jojo and Gintama have been the next best on Amazon, though Darkness is still near the top in total BD+DVD points to date because of how muhc it ranked up early on, and staying in at least the top 200 since.

Hidamari's drop is a bit disheartening, and makes me worry the event ticket effect will be noticeable. And I doubt it'll be a huge storefront title because it isn't really ranking at those other sites. A season of Hidamari has always averaged at least more than its fandisc, and this fandisc sold 6k, but maybe that won't happen this time.

More monthly ranking data. This covers the weeks starting 10/22, 10/29, 11/05 and 11/12.

Strike Witches Movie +269 LE DVD, total 40,058. Finally 40k.

KuroBas v4 +235/441, total 25,927.

Horizon II v2 +184, total 20,846. Less than 1k below s1v2.

Hyouka v5 +451 BD, total 9,971. So for all intents and purposes, another 10k volume. And to think this was the volume that had a slight dip in wk1 and hinted the show might be dropping. Now it's the second highest total.

Total Eclipse v2 +190 BD, total 5,984.

Shin TeniPri v4 +261 DVD, total 5,184, BDs do not rank.

Slightly disappointed no update for Dog Days, but it only would have been an extra 300 or so.
