Newtype monthly (slightly different reporting period than Oricon) adds the following in weeks starting 3/12, 3/19, 3/26, 4/02, and 4/09.

InuBoku v1 +242 DVDs and +226 BDs in wk4, total 15,158. 15k, amazing.

Persona 4 v5 +290 DVDs in wks3-4, total 27,727.

Horizon v4 +247 BDs in wk4, total 20,103.

High School DxD v1 +246 BDs in wk4, total 10,793.

Stalker added a new feature to the individual release listings that shows a week to week (up to the last 4 weeks) comparison of how the release did. There's only three weeks of data for it, but Hyouka is a good example: http://www27392u.sakura.ne.jp/show.cgi?n=B007RC1KWQ

Red is this week, then it goes backward through green, blue, and yellow if there's at least four weeks of data (Nyaruko for example).

You can see how Hyouka started out at one point, dropped, and shot back up after the episode aired. Then the next week it started higher, and followed a similar formula but without dropping as much, and ending higher. And then in the most recent week, it's held that high rank all through.

It doesn't say but I assume it starts at Sunday 00:00 JST. Note that the Y axis is not consistent from page to page, but is based on the highs and lows of the given release. So don't compare the shape of one chart against another.

I'm not sure quite how useful it is, and for most things, I'll be using the old graph and just setting 30/60 days to see the patterns more clearly. The issue with this new chart is that most releases fluctuate so much that the lines constantly cross over one another and it just gets visually messy. But for things like Hyouka's most recent week, it can highlight some interesting trends.

I guess because TTGL and Strikers aired Spring-Summer 2007, while Gundam 00, with its second season, didn't wrap up until end of March 2009. But yeah I think those seem a lot older even so.

For a show that was ranked like 20,000th not long ago, it almost looks like SenColle could come back from the dead. I still wouldn't expect more than a couple thousand, but who knows... those DVD rankings are especially surprising. I mean really wtf is this? I wonder if the recent announcement of the original SenColle mobile game starting its 5th story has anything to do with it. Something bundled in the DVD/BD maybe, and the DVD is selling better because it's cheaper and the buyers only care about the whatever-it-is, not the anime?

And still no full weekly BD list. Friday seems to be the new normal for these. Maybe the person who posts it is just busy on Thursdays now.

Winter update:
High School DxD adds 576 BDs, total 9,794.

Aquarion v1 adds 629 BDs, total 9,306. Guess it'll be just short of a 10k v1.

Another v2 adds 468 BDs, total 2,345.


Fall update:
Horizon v5 adds 632, total 20,282, so we're back over 20k after v4 did slightly less (19,856).

Haganai v4 adds 661 BDs, total 10,388, so it's staying over 10k.

Working'!! v7, final volume, gets over 10k by adding 580 for 10,024. Final average is now 12,591.

Guilty Crown v4 adds 598 BDs, total 7,758. Down 36% from v1 already.

Seems like Haganai is staying fairly consistent. A little bit of drop, but not much. I think the main drop was from v1 to v2. v1 was over 11k, but I believe that took 2 or 3 weeks. I was going to check the numbers for each volume, but I forgot how completely horrible vb threaded is and the thread has gotten large enough that hunting through linear isn't much better. :/

Well, I find it relatively easy to find each of the subthreads in threaded mode, since they'll always be replies to the top post, are all dated, and are chronological. Just scroll down the list and find the dates in question.

Or better actually is to use the weekly archive lists. Here's 2012. I can get a few weeks behind in updating those table of contents posts but they're up to date at the moment.

If you know the release date, then you can just open up the Forum Post link for that week and subsequent weeks to track it. I guess the only thing you miss out on are any monthly adjustments.

And just a normal thread search isn't too bad either actually.

But here's a screenshot of the source data for Haganai too: link. Some of the columns won't make sense at a glance but the stuff you need should be obvious. I will say that the last column is measured in units of ¥10,000, so for example Haganai has sold ¥323,070,000 so far at MSRP. The ¥48,461 (*10000) is an estimate of how much it would sell over the full number of volumes at current averages. Useful for roughly predicting total sales of series that don't rank every volume.

(And yes, I should soooo be using a database, not a spreadsheet. But spreadsheets are more user friendly/faster data entry for someone like me.)

I might look into ways of dumping a centralized per-volume totals list like animesuki has, but it'd be a pretty large undertaking so it might not be soon, and I'll probably only update periodically.
