Episode 13:

- Wow, all of those upgraded costumes look amazing.
- ...That's a lot of Noise.
- O_O Girls, this is impressive as hell and all, but there isn't going to be a city left at this rate.
- Oh my. Fine becomes a goo-girl.

- Nice sword juggling, Kurisu. =D
- GO GO MIKUUUUUU!!!!
- Hahaha oh god the ultimate attack is called Synchrogazer. We will defeat evil with a Mizuki Nana #1 hit single!

- >_> So. 13 minutes left. Really enough time to introduce a new Big Bad for Hibiki to sacrifice herself to? I guess it might just barely be enough but damnit we need a sizable epilogue to handle the opening scene properly.
- Oh. Ohhhhhhh. HHAHAHHAH, okay, um, I guess this works. She's going to destroy the earth with a chunk of the moon. So Hibiki will have to get her zesshou on.
- Hibiki takes this pretty well. >_>
- And Ryouko takes over again at the very end (purple eyes and all).

- So alright I can kinda see where this is going. Hibiki needs to fly out into space and tape the moon back together, but there will be a big explosion and stuff and cue however long of big sad for Miku before Hibiki returns at the end saying she finally finished cleaning up the moon or something. At least that better be how it goes.
- Happy yuri singing fun time!
- Sword big enough, Tsubasa?
- Enough missiles, Kurisu?
- ...Uh I don't know what that is Hibiki, but good job!
- And the moon goes boom.

- First scene again. Exactly 4.5 minutes left.
- Well, ok I guess that works. But I was hoping for something much more emotional.

No kiss, not even an "I love you". If Hibiki were a boy and Miku were a girl they would have embraced and declared their undying love and kissed long and deep. You know it's true. So instead we just get a "Sorry for the wait derpderp". Is that really all you have for Miku after so long, Hibiki?

Yeah sure, I'm very very glad they didn't do some bullshit "yuri = death" ending but c'mon, after making me worry about it ALL SHOW LONG, I wanted something... ...much more moving. If they had kissed I honest to goodness would have imported this entire show for just that, ignoring that I've already imported 7 from Winter. But, of course, they don't. Meh.

- Well, berserker Hibiki is back.
- Miku, that’s it, you need to believe in the one you love. Hibiki needs it.
- Tsubasa hugs Hibiki, which help to calm her down.
- Tsubasa was awesome. Thanks to the help from Kanade, success. The question now is, is she alive? I sure hope so…
- The little girl sure is right, that is what Hibiki needs.
- She sure heard the song, she can fight again! Even Tsubasa and Kurisu are back!! They even power up.

That sure was awesome! And yeah, Yumi references to anime sure are the best. ^_^ Now, I’m really curious to know how they will end this… with what we know…

So here we are at the last episode of this series…

- Well, looking at them again, the new outfits sure look awesome.
- That sure is a lot of Noise…They sure answered her call.
- “You answered my cry. You came back on your own. You can be proud of that strength of yours.” That’s the best thing to say to Hibiki, Tsubasa.
- Fighting together, they sure are amazing!
- Fine is absorbing the Noise for real…
- Go Miku, you can do it!
- You heard that Hibiki. Fail is not an option now.
- The fight is awesome, the music is awesome…
- Fine….wants to use that part of the moon to destroy the earth…
- “I’ll be back… Don’t give up on living” You sure need to be back, Hibiki.
- Tsubasa and Kurisu join her in the space…they sure need to be back too.
- Fighting together again, they were able to destroy the moon!
- So here it is…the scene from episode 1…
- Hibiki, Tsubasa and Kurisu are back!!!

Where…where is your declaration of love, Hibiki? And where is the kiss? The end would have been perfect with it. It's still an amazing episode.

I liked this show though I thought that the final episodes had too many face-faulting plot contrivances and some of it was too 90s-cheesy. The show would have been better had the ending been more emotional. Where is the yuri kiss and confession?
I hear that this is not selling well enough for a 2nd season?

That was almost certainly 100% intentional.

Its...doing mediocre-ok-ish.

I don't really know if it needs a second season though. I'm pretty happy with what we have, and a second season is just asking for trouble.

I decided to marathon the whole series and overall I have mixed feelings about this show.

Kanade Amo: Not too happy that they killed her off in the first episode. She could have easily been one of the main characters in the show. All the promotional art features Kanade and Tsubasa. I think there could have been a good storyline if it was built between Tsubasa and Kanade - the ZweiWing.

Tsubasa Kazanari: She could have been a good foil with Kanade. Tsubasa has a reserve personality compared to Kanade's aggressive personality. Too bad this opportunity was not looked into.

Hibiki Tachibana: In my opinion, the focus of the show should not been on her. Hibiki was too powerful for somebody who had the least experience with the Symphogear. Hibiki should have been a backup support.

Chris Yukine: I didn't like the fact she just appeared as an enemy in the show and then turned to the good side. I felt she didn't added much to the show. She should have been made a support character.

Ryoko Sakurai: If she wanted to destroy the moon she should have asked Piccolo to do it. Not too sure why she needs to summon Noise when she already have inside access to all the Relics.

Genjuro Kazanari: What a super human being - I need him as a combat teacher!

This show is something we have already seen before in anime with scifi-techno babble, generic anime alien monsters indiscriminately attacking humans and super final battles.

I do like the attack moves and transformation scenes somewhat different from typical magical girls affair.

I feel that this show could have been executed better.

If a second season was every made, find someway to resurrect Kanade Amo.

Geez, I started importing in 2009 and there wasn't a sequel to a show I imported until 2012 (Nisemonogatari). Now there are already three announced for 2013.
