So, one of the main characters doesn't even make through the first episode. And Aoi Yuuki's character will die. Great. Other than that the show is great.

Tsubasa wants to fight...Hibiki? Oh c'mon, Tsubasa, don't make me hate you.

Yeah, Miku is definitely in love.

Tsubasa as expected is having a somewhat negative reaction to things.

For a moment, the organization almost felt like villains.

I like the fact the higher ups in the organization actually acknowledged the fact that Hibiki is new to things and were worried about her trying to go into battle so soon.

It's a shocking concept to me, too many times people are expected to be auto-experts.

Tsubasa declaring that she and Hibiki should fight is a way to end the episode. Is Tsubasa just planning to test Hibiki? Will Tsubasa try to kill her? Or is this just a way to vent? Only time will tell.

Darn it, I really hope Miku is able to confess to Hibiki before the end. Although I'm probably hoping for too much even if Miku is truly in love with Hibiki and they aren't just misdirecting us.

And wow, Tsubasa's taking this even worse than I expected.

The OP is really nice. And very.... Mizuki Nana-ish. "Listen to my song!" This show is completely shameless, and I love it.

Wait, what happened to Hibiki's scary evil face from the end of last episode? She was totally normal when this episode started. I imagine that will be relevant down the road though.

Tsubasa is taking the whole Hibiki situation about as well as expected. Not that Hibiki was helping matters. She means well, but Hibiki's behavior would be irritating to just about anyone in Tsubasa's shoes, even without the resentment over Kanade's death.

Also, gayest bedroom scene on this side of Strawberry Panic.

That cracked me up. It looks about to be the second worst day of Hibiki's life.... and then a surprise party.

Also, I want Hibiki to have to go down that elevator at least once an episode, preferably twice. I love hearing Yuuki Aoi's screams of terror. .... That sounds so wrong.

Synchrogazer is a really, really good song, even by Mizuki Nana standards. It's like Mizuki Nana meets Sheryl Nome.

I love the voice Yuuki Aoi is using for Hibiki. Just enough of naiveness and hesitation but also some steel there as she goes out to fight the Noise despite having no training at all.

Hopefully Tsubasa will stop her hostility and accept Hibiki's help soon. Judging from the ED, it looks like Takagaki Ayahi will be voicing the other Symphogear user from the 1st Disaster Relief Squad. Good choice for a singing role.
