Wow, what a great Yayoi episode. ;_;

We saw Yayoi with her mother back in the April Fool's joke episode, but nothing was said about her father. It turns out her father passed away when she was five. So she spends the episode trying to remember a conversation she had with him all those years ago. And its incredibly touching.

And this was the most action-y Akanbe fight in a while. The Precure really got smacked around in this one. And Cure Peace's expression when the lightning hit her hand has changed. Instead of the adorable shocked face, its more of a determined grimace. But anyway, yay for Cure Peace taking out an Akanbe on her own.

Also, good fight. Damn that had to hurt when Miyuki hit that telephone pole.

This was a very touching episode, even if I don't empathize with the whole Father thing as well as I should. Kind of an bummer episode in terms of it's mood, but it pulls it off well and really shows what this series is capable of. The fight scene was pretty good too. Yayoi centered episodes are always a pleasure to watch anyway (not that the others are slouches).

Bah, the one week delay is killing me! >_<

Episode 19:

- Two shows in two weeks with a "ask your parents about the meaning of your name" assignment?
- Damnit I love Yayoi. I'm already tearing up at the scene in her home before anything has even happened.
- Awwwwwwww, she just makes something up for the assignment. Poor Yayoi. ;_;
- Yayoi all subdued in the rain, wondering if her father would be proud of her... ;___;

- Pika pika pikarin! Jankenpon! ... ...Okay, I genuinely feel bad for winning again. I should rewind and throw paper instad this time.
- Holy shit! What's with this amazing action this week. Wow.
- And AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW, that backstory was ;_________;-level sweet, goddaaaaaaaaamn.

That's two weeks in a row this show got me totally crying. Smile Precure you are SO GOOOOOOOOOD!

Well, it was time for one of the two milestones to be reached, so of course something happens, Joker finally makes his move.

Next time should be very, very interesting...

LOL Yayoi. Her food gets stolen and she just thinks its so awesome to watch it get eaten by someone that's invisible.

I continue to be amused by the Majorina police box running joke.

And Nao sure seemed particularly protective of Akane during the fight.

Anyway, the whole thing was very silly and thoroughly amusing.

Episode 20:

- Miyuki and Akane are totally the two Precure you can least trust with invisibility.
- Awwwwww damnit, I was hoping they'd still be invisible when they transformed. I wanted to see empty clothes doing a transformation.
- Pika pika pikarin! Jankenpon! Hey, Yayoi beat me for the first time in a while.
- Sight, smell, and sound have all be taken away from them. Oh no~ So they do what they should have done from the start.

...Candy is really, really dumb.

Episode 21:

- So the presumably at least half-competent baddie steps up now. Just a few more episodes before Pierrot revives.
- And one more decor left. I hadn't noticed that not every Akanbee gave a decor.
- Tanabata~
- Pika pika pikarin! Jankenpon! Rock beats scissors, I lose again.
- Yay, a Peace Thunder! We don't get enough of those.
- The girls were super extra serious today. But the Decor being stolen was inevitable.

Next episode looks interesting...

Wow. Just, wow.

That was an AMAZING episode. One of the best of the entire franchise. Joker's one of the few recent Precure villains who's legitimately threatening, and he drove all five of them into despair.

And oh god, next time...UPGRADES
