Gintama doesn't really have any arcs longer that maybe 6 episodes though. Besides, wouldn't a compilation movie compressing more episodes be worse because they'd have to cut out more of the story? If they already owned those episodes of the TV series, I could see people skipping out on this movie I guess (although it does have a few extra scenes including new jokes and a very high quality action scene). But as I said, the episodes this movie covers haven't been released on R1 DVD, so I bet people will be more inclined to pick this up.
I wonder if that is part of Sentai's plan. Release the movie before the tv arc so that people are more likely to buy the movie while still purchasing the tv series since they aren't going to skip buying the tv series that contains episodes outside the movie arc.

What about the other 10%, was it good?

the movie was definitely reanimated but its mostly the same, they added some new scenes featuring characters that weren't in the arc originally (like kamui and the shinsengumi) but its mainly the same. they did however change up a few fights, mainly the first with Nizou and the big finale fight.

its a great movie so definitely worth checking out for any fan of the series. it will also have a dub so for that alone I'll check it out.

Alot of it is the typical Gintama sitting around, joking about various things.
However, the fight at the end is completely re-animated, and stand leaps and bounds above every other sequence of animation in the film.
That alone for me made the movie worthwhile. It should also look very nice on BD, even if the rest seems out-of-place.

Hmmm. Would it be possible for any screens of the big fight towards the end of the film?
I say this because that was actually new animation and should look alot better than those screens in HD, which look rather disappointing tbh. :-/

Alright. I'll do that tonight.

Do have a time stamp/range of the scenes?
