Default Has Funimation given up on Sgt Frog?

Since it's been about over a year or more since the release of last set of this series I'm going to assume that Funimation has no plans to bring any more episodes over on DVD.

Just wanting to make sure

they say it's on hiatus but that's just a fancy way of saying they're done with it.

It is sad that now that Sgt frog has an end that they are now no longer going to do it but its understandable as they have to put in alot more work into Sgt Frog than most shows.

Given the original show is full of Japanese Pop Culture references that most of us wouldn't get then they compensated for it by writing in alot of ones we would for the English Script and honestly in comparison even with the pop culture references aside the English Script makes the show funnier. Despite telling the same story. Seriously watch the dub with the Japanese Subtitles and its just funnier in the dub.

But yeah too much work for little reward. We may see it come back but that's a big maybe. Be thankful we got 70+eps as that was quite the feat from Funimation.

I'm very sad to see it go as i don't fancy watching the Japanese version onward's from where the Funi left it as like i say its just not as good.

It think the series is done from FUNimation (next step is from S.A.V.E. Edition releases). To be honest, I didn't think they would release this many episodes.

I would have to think so. This is a show that spans over 300 episodes, and one that needs a TV deal if it has any chance to be successful, which Sgt. Frog does not have unlike with all of their DBZ stuff. While Funi hasn't officially stuck the fork in it, I would have to think they are just about ready to do so since it does not exactly have quite the appeal that One Piece or Dragon Ball has.

It's time to graduate from here. But there's still some business left.
The only thing better than anime is sports. Get hit hard and you got JACKED UP! Or else it's a C'mon Man!
